1st and 10 - Charlton got upfield against the right tackle quickly off the snap, but it looked like he then tried to avoid a possible chip by the running back and kind of stopped himself, doing a slow spin in place while the RT just waited on him. Dallas blitzed Brown off the other side, but it was easily picked up. However, Gabbert had no one open and was sacked by Brown when he tried to scramble to his right. The other three linemen (Ash, Neal and Moore, who was doubled, never came close to being a threat). It looked like Gabbert scrambled primarily because Brown and Charlton were behind him so he wasn't sure if he had time to stay in the pocket, which he did.

2nd and 11 - Handoff to Logan around left tackle. Jones did a great job of recognizing it, avoiding traffic to contain the run and bringing down Logan for a 1-yard loss. Looked like Logan had to go wide on the play because Wilson and Jones forced him, too, then he couldn't beat Jones to the corner. Charlton was unblocked on the play and pursued it from the backside, but wasn't a factor. He did cut off the possibility of a backside cut so Logan had to take the run right. The Cardinals didn't get any movement up front.

3rd and 13 - Tight end wide open against the zone out of shotgun. He pushed upfield toward Jones and then broke right. Jones and Heath made the tackle, but I'm not sure who had coverage responsibilities. I counted four seconds for Gabbert to hold the ball Charlton stunted inside and got the closest to the QB because of it, but not close enough that Gabbert couldn't step into his throw, which ended up beingabout an 18- to 19-yard completion.

1st and 10 - Quick out to the receiver with Brown playing soft coverage for about 5 yards. No chance for a pass rush. Tapper in at right end, Moore at left with Charlton out.

2nd and 6 - Tight end down the seam for a long gain with Lotululei trailing. Tapper made a good charge at the pocket, but Gabbert stepped up and he was pushed past it. Inside rush by Ivie came too late. Looked like zone coverage where all Wilber passed the TE off but no one really had him covered.

1st and 10 - 13-yard run off right tackle. The defensive line slanted right and they went to the defense's left, which made this and easy run. Wilson tried to come up and fill, but the RT got enough to him to allow the running back to run past him. That left no contain. Heath had a chance to stop the RB at around 9 yards, but didn't get him wrapped up.

1st and goal - Run up the middle for the TD. Cardell blown back off the ball by 4 yards. The only player to fight through the traffic was Byron Jones and he grabbed the RB but couldn't stop his momentum. It almost looked like we were playing a 3-4 look because we lined up Lenny Jones way outside where he wasn't a factor on a middle run. It essentially was Cardell and the linebackers vs. the Cards' interior three and they lost badly.

That's it for me tonight. I'll try to do some more tomorrow because I definitely want to look at our first-half TD drive.
Hey great first 2 drive feed back. Looking forward to more when you have the chance

Not that I'm looking for likes or anything like that, but based on the number views, it doesn't seem like that many are interested in reading these, so I'm probably not going to do any more because it's a lot more time-consuming than other posts.

Perhaps you could include video of the play with the write-up. I know it takes more time, but I always like the write-ups which include a video of the play. I can easily see what you are trying to say and can comment easier whether I agree or see something different in the play.

Some don't use the like button. I know more enjoy writeups maybe they just don't comment

I don't really pay attention to the likes. It's more about the views. I may still do the drive summaries anyway because I want to continue analyzing the players, but I guess I was hoping the effort would attract more eyes than some of the inflammatory posts that are done in ignorance.

It's easy for someone to say "so-andso sucked" just based on watching the game without taking a closer look.

I'm watching it on my TV and don't do the video embedding. The game is posted on the site if anyone wants to take it and add the drives to the threads.

Whatever you decide to post some of us will be very appreciative.

I see that I quit this analysis too early. I didn't care about the extra point, but a penalty on us led to Arizona going for the two-point conversion.

First attempt - Quick throw, pass interference by Leon McFadden. It would have been good coverage if McFadden had not inhibited the receiver's left arm with a grab. Ivie pushed his man back and down on one knee, but there was no real pressure on the quick drop and throw.

Second attempt - QB sneak. Tapper knifed through on his side, but the play was up the middle. Couldn't tell who the tackles were, but Arizona's line won easily against the interior and linebackers.
