The fanspeak On The Clock draft simulator updated they're composite big board so I wanted to do another draft to see how the players fell. Before the update I knew some of the players that fell to round seven wouldn't be there so it didn't seem too realistic. This draft was done with the On The Clock Composite big board that was updated yesterday and NFL mock teams needs settings.

58: R2P26 S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
Abram and Rapp were both gone at 58. He seems like a player that could probably be interchangeable deep or in the box with good range. NFL.com has him ranked the second highest safety in the draft.

Strengths
  • Frame is long, tapered and well-built
  • Smooth, athletic and agile
  • Impressive versatility to play slot, high safety and down safety
  • Eye-balance between his target and the quarterback
  • Easy mirror transitions from slot
  • Quality burst to close short and deep
  • Adjusts angles effectively to play the ball
  • 2017 tape shows high-safety range
  • Talent and size to neutralize mismatch tight ends
  • Above-average makeup speed
  • No hesitancy as a striker
  • Size and power to separate receivers from the ball
  • Quick to trigger and support the run
90: R3P26 DL Zach Allen
I think they would give him consideration at 58 so he would definitely be in play at 90. He kind of reminds me Zack Martin or Travis Fredrick, not a flashy player but a reliable productive player that is solid for ten years.

Strengths
  • Relentless effort from snap to whistle
  • High football IQ with instant play diagnosis
  • Usually first off snap with good initial burst
  • Disruptive penetrator in the B-gap
  • Double digit tackles for loss in three straight seasons
  • NFL-ready play strength to handle himself at point of attack
  • Eyes work around blockers and stay peeled on backfield
  • Hands and upper-body power to stack-shed
  • Forward lean for momentum into bull rush
  • Hard press to outside edge before making inside charge
  • Base strength to power through redirect blocks
  • Attentive in looking to challenge throwing lane with 19 batted passes over three years
  • Experienced as a reduced rusher
128: R4P26 TE Josh Oliver
I wasn't sure if we had interest in him but according to Ian Rapoport we had a private workout with him. He would be the athletic route running type of tight end to challenge down the middle with a chance to develop into a Jay Novcek type blocker.

Strengths
  • Highly regarded by teammates
  • Has put in necessary time and work to improve his body and skill set
  • Heavily-targeted primary receiver asked to work all three levels
  • Good hip flip for easy work-around against jamming linebackers
  • Uses fully formed route tree with all the branches
  • Good balance and attention to detail in his routes
  • Accelerates to separate out of turn and stems
  • Good speed alterations to adjust to throws behind him
  • Able to maintain top speed throughout ball-tracking if needed
  • Majestic, bounding strides to rise and capture high throws in deep middle
  • Superb body control and catch radius to turn incompletions into catches
  • Developed quick hands thanks to throws that were put on top of him prematurely
  • Catches through crunching blows from safeties sniping at him
  • Shows capacity to improve and help in pass protection
136: R4P34 DL Trysten Hill
Assuming They're good with his character concerns Hill would be good value one day three. NFL.com has him ranked 78 overall and the eighth best DT right behind Dre'mont Jones and ahead of Willis, Wren, and Saunders.

Strengths
  • Plays with good initial burst upfield
  • Always the first off the snap on his defensive line
  • Hustles hard around the field looking for tackles
  • Plays with functional agility and bend to finish tackles in open spaces
  • Twitchy arm-over access into A-gap
  • Effective use of hands
  • Leveraged strikes into blockers for early leads in the rep
  • Fluid with his edge-to-edge rush
  • Refuses to just lay on blocks and is always working hands and feet
  • Possesses smooth inside spin counter
  • Energetic and disruptive
165: R5P27 RB Devine Ozigbo
The Cowboys have had multiple meetings with him including a private workout. When you watch his highlights you can tell he's a hard runner with a burst. Armstead Temple was also there but I haven't seen any Cowboys connections with him. When Dane Brugler took Bryce Love in his mock draft we speculated that he would be good value if he fell to the fifth and he did in this simulation. It was tempting not to pick him and place him on PUP for a year. I read that his medicals checked out at the combine.

Strengths
  • Big back with bruising frame
  • Thick from hips to knees
  • Drives upfield with powerful strides and surprising burst
  • Passionate running style
  • Speed to the corner can invalidate pursuit angles
  • Had touchdown runs of 40, 60, and 66 yards in 2018
  • Hugs interior run lanes to avoid unnecessary traffic
  • Maintains his balance through aggressive cuts
  • Absorbs contact without being knocked off his feet
  • Low pad level carries him forward when finishing
  • Legitimate pass-catcher with ability to man the slot on empty sets
  • Effort to square and stay connected to blitzers in pass protection

241: R7P27 CB Blace Brown
The Gardner-Johnson and Allen Picks precluded the two corners Williams and Johnson but Richard has shown interest in Brown and he was available here.

Strengths
  • Good size/length combination
  • Very smooth and fluid in his backpedal
  • Plays with above-average coverage IQ
  • Balances vision between quarterback and receiver
  • Reads combinations and dual threats
  • Posted outstanding ball production in '16 and '17 pre-ACL injury
  • Searches for optimal path to play the ball rather than the target
  • Searches and locates football early on
  • Closes and crowds when playing the 50/50 balls
  • Shows some vertical climb as leaper
  • Quick to diagnose and respond to run
  • Played gunner on punt coverage

I’d love this draft. But I think you’re a round late on most of them. They are not going to be there.

I would take that draft in a heartbeat especially the first 4 but I think those guys will be picked before we are on the clock.

I think when they put together the player groupings by round they probably put players that are ranked higher but could fall under the right circumstances that way if one does fall they're not caught off guard. This draft was probably the best case scenario but to be honest I really don't know what truth is. The composite big board is supposed to be a combination of all of fanspeak big boards and it was just updated yesterday. I don't think most people thought Derwin James would fall that far last year but he did. In the end I doubt if it will go this way at all but it's a fun way to learn about the players they've shown interest in.
