After watching the Secondary repeatedly getting beat, especially up the middle, does anyone feel there is some answer down the road to correct this problem? Bring in another CB. I know a lot of these completions are against our 2nd and 3rd team players, but really is Mo and Carr anything other than avg. at best? Many won't like that analysis but if we don't over value them as we do many players and are honest, then avg., if that, is the best they can be graded. They certainly aren't worth what we paid to get them. I watch other teams defending passes and they seem to at least be in the same zip code as the WR where our defenders aren't. Not only are they giving up all these catches but also yards after catch is high. This is not to say the CBs are the total problem--safeties,LBs--but those two are expected to be our play makers and that simply hasn't been the case. I worry about Mo's toughness on the edge and his poor tackling skills. Is Henderson the right Coach as we had this problem last year also.

I know I've gone into an area(players) that many might consider forbidden, but after repeatedly seeing this happen every game, I wanted to know others thoughts.

Starting seconday I think will do a very good job with Claiborne, Carr, Scandrick, Church and Allen really not concerned with the starting group. I think Claiborne and Carr are more than just avg. players

I have concern with mainly the safeties. Church is coming off an injury, plus he only has 3 NFL starts. Potential is there. Allen has moved around the league, so he has experience but is not the long term answer. Johnson, your guess is as good as mine. I worry about his injuries. I think they have up's and down's this year, but I think between Church/Wilcox/Johnson/Hamiliton that we will find our future tandem for the next 5-6 years.

I think the CB's are fine. Carr/MO/Scandrick are as good as trio you will find. Webb/Moore are more than capable as the 4th/5th guys. Webb will struggle coming from a small school, but that' expected. Future is bright with this group.

CBs? Or secondary in general. I'm not at all concerned about CB play, but then I'm not sure what you're referring to re: 'repeatedly getting beat up the middle.' Is this the preseason games you're talking about?
When it comes to S's, I have some concerns and will have them until I see that the problem has been solved. In the two preseason games, we've had a lot of young guys out of position or taking bad angles. And then v. OAK, Barry Church uncharacteristically whiffed on a few tackles. Overall, I think we've got some talented prospects out there making the kinds of mistakes young players make. I think Church is a starting-caliber player, and I think both Wilcox and Johnson have showed good things for where they are in their career arcs. I haven't seen Will Allen play enough to have a strong opinion on him, one way or another.

As to the secondary being a 'forbidden' topic, I'm not sure what you're getting at. I know our good buddy Risen Star likes to get a rise from people saying CB play doesn't matter, and people obviously think that's a ridiculous overstatement, but it's not like the poor play of our pass defense in the Romo era hasn't been a frequent topic of conversation here all offseason.
