Secondary play better with rookies?

It seemed to me that we played much better in the secondary with Ball, Jenkins and Scandrick than we have all year. Scandrick has been extremely impressive.

I been telling everyone Scandrick is a gamer and needs to start IMO. I haven't seen the game today but I respect DaHammer even though he hates Garrett.

Let's don't get carried away, Tampa's offense was a no show, they thought they could just show up and we'd lay down because of injuries.

The main difference is that Scandrick has an attacking mentality while everyone else waits and sees.

I like the way Scandrick, Jenkins, and Ball played out there. These guys play with webos. They get up and crowd the line and challenge the WRs to beat them.

Henry and his 20 yd cushion drives me batty, especially when he does it on 3rd and 2. I felt the Bucs made a grave mistake ignoring Henry's side much of the game. He was giving the Bucs an easy 7-8 yd completion every single play. I cannot believe the Bucs didn't use and abuse that cushion.

Major props to our defense today.......unfortunately Ware didn't get a sack.

Ball appeared more aggressive and quicker than Henry. I would rather live or die with this unit...atleast they have more upside but will experience some bumps along the way.

Jenkins wasn't too bad. The guy we need to replace is Anthony Henry...he's way too slow. Which is probably why he often plays 10 yards off the receivers. Ken Hamlin needs to be more a playmaker.

our rookies can play off the ball and come up and make a tackle without the receiver gaining huge yardage unlike slow and over the hill henry.

right now he is. maybe not in 4 weeks when Newman finally plays, but so far this season he's our best corner. he was directing traffic back there. He plays very smart and aggressive.

I thought that Alan Ball was surprisingly aggressive. Jenkins played really well with the exception of trying to do one too many kill shots. Scandrick played well. Anthony Henry, not so much. But, he usually plays pretty well against Plaxico Burress. Hurry back, T-new.

You do realize it is not the DBs choice on if they are up in press coverage or playing back right? I mean it isn't like Henry makes a conscious decision to back off like that.

I am stoked that the young guys played well, but Henry has done alot of great things for us. Why is it TNew gets a pass on the injury issue but Henry does not?
