Since we all know Scandrick is our best corner on this roster and can play both outside and nickel, could Brandon Boykin be a logical FA target for us. Adding him and moving Scandrick outside essentially could kill 2 birds with 1 stone and ridding us from seeing Carr get toasted every week.

Scandrick played outside almost exclusively in 2014 so this wouldn't really be anything new.

Need CB and S, but will they address it as much as we think it should be. Much depends on what they decide to do with Carr. If released which the sole purpose is to create cap room. Not so much to replace one player with another. Unless that player is a high draft pick. IMO anyway.

We have Carr, Mo, Scandrick as our CB's, yes nothing has changed. Behind them we have 2 CB's that had 2 or 3 decent games at the end of the year. Mitchell and Olatoye. How does the team feel about their future, more than just depth? But certainly not as good as a CB in top 3 rounds. They also signe Thomas, but most feel just TC fodder.

Jones at FS, if CB still not in play. This still gives them some options in the draft. Releasing Church can save what $4.5 million, and leaves Wilcox at SS. If Jones is the FS, will it make Church or Wilcox better at their true SS position, or do we need to replace both. I don't see that happening. Behind them, Heath was tendered but he's more a ST's guy, and McCray is a FA. So we need S help more than CB's going by the numbers.

Last year we needed a RB, and thought one would surely be drafted in the top 3 rounds, we drafted DB. This year many feel we need DB's in first 3 rounds, which may mean we draft RB...come on down Zeke...

Dallas needs 2/new Quality CB's and 2 new Safeties. Church should be a hydrid OLB AND Wilcox cut. Hoping for Ramsey Robinson Scandrick Claiborne SS-Von Bell and FS-B Jones.

Dallas does need to keep an eye open to the future of the secondary following this season? Kind of depends now, on whether or not Carr gets a renegotiated contract...whether one or two cornerbacks are needed under the current umbrella.

I think back to previous Championship Teams
Mel Renfro and Cornell Green - should be a pair of HOF's
Deion and Kevin Smith

Scandrick, Carr and whatever is left from the scrap pile is nothing more than a 3-4 CB on all other Teams.

Safeties - Barry Church and Wilcox has got to be the all time worst pair of Safeties ever place on a Dallas defense

Retain Byron Jones for FS and Heath in ST's. Church can be a nickel OLB - not a Safety.

The entire Secondary needs ALOT of change in 2016

That remark appears to have listened to the nay sayers way too much. C'mon now,

To abstract and declare that a pair of diamonds don't exist, is just wrong. No, there's not a pair of Roy Williams and Darrel Woodson, but there is a similarly good pair of Jones and Scandrick. Don't forget that Scandrick has played at an Pro Bowl level, and Jones shortly will be also. Scandrick, by the way, runs a 4.3 by past time.

As to value, don't kid one's self in looking for gold mines or even diamond minds, both Carr and Claiborne are solid and NFL level cornerbacks. In today's NFL, it takes a team, not just all diamonds to win.

In the upcoming draft, the Cowboys have a good shot at the top safety and top cornerback that they can pick. That would add a lot to an immediate future.

Myself, I'd get out of the habit for crying thief in the dark, when talking about Cowboy players. Invest more in rooting for the team, as they aren't nearly as dire or lousy as being advertised by some 'fans.'

I like Deji Olatoye. He's the biggest corner that we have and played well when he was given the opportunity.

Because Church is a good "box" safety does not mean he would be average as a "hybrid" OLB. Two different positions with two different responsibilities. The myth that a safety can be a LBer and vice versa is laughable very few have made the transition successfully.

In pass protections, a linebacker guards a tight end or back. Guess who a strong safety guards as well?

Wait since Sean Lee is so athletic lets make him a DE since you sometimes LBers rush the QB. LB and S are built differently. Even RW31 at his heaviest did not look the part of a LB. Church to become an effective "every down" LB would have to put on weight would rob him of what little speed he has. Please tell the last S to make a transition to LB successfully.
