TE Fasano!

I wish Romo will look his way more often esp with all the defense double covering TO and Witten. I think Fasano is a good player in his own right and darn good hands. If given the opportunity he may shine.

In this game against the Pack, Fasano should chip KGB or the other DE and release for some underneath route with TO clearing the LB or S. He'll be open more often than not.

If we can incorporate the 2nd TE into our offense, it will be completely unpredictable or stoppable.

I feel bad for Fasano.

He's going to go somewhere else once he's a FA and be a really good TE. I think he and Witten will get going against their LBs, who don't get alot of help against TEs from safeties.

Your thread reminded me... Last week on the Wade show, Garrett was showing a coaching film of the first run of the game that Julius made. Fasano absolutely destroyed Strahan. Drove him to where the center would be. It was a beautiful thing.

But I'm with you. As good as Fasano looked in preseason, I wish we could get him a few passes in the real games. But when you have T.O. and Witten, there's not a lot left.

I am actually hoping to see more of Austin in the slot. I think he is a better and more dangerous #3 receiver than Hurd is and he could be our version of Wes Welker.

Personally, I think Fasano is a better TE than Austin is a WR. Putting two TEs also benefit us because it forces the D to play in it's base defense. The TEs could stay in to block, chip and release or release 1 or release two. It does give us alot of options in both run and passing offensively.

I agree that Fasano is to this point an unused resource for this team.

Reviewing games, there have been several times where Fasaon was wide open and Romo still threw to someone else - mostly Witten.

For whatever reason, it seems Romo doesn't trust Fasano to make a play as much as he trusts Witten - or even Tony Curtis.

A shame because I haven't seen any reason for it.

I think Miles Austin could be the next Wes Welker! :eek:hno:

Yes. And Mike Vrabel is a better TE than Daniel Graham or Kyle Brady.

If we're going to try to use Fasano more this year, this would be the game to do it in. With Green Bay's pass rush, having Fasano running shorter routes may give Romo the quick outlet option that he may need. I have a feeling Romo won't have as much time to pass as he's had in some of the other recent games, so let's see if they do use Fasano more than usual.
