Dalton came here on a one year deal to be close to home, and enter FA in 2021 looking for another chance at a starting job.

Right now, our season hinges on wheather or not Dalton can be this years Ryan Tannihill. Its gonna be really tough, because it doesnt look like we have the quality on defense or the OL. But here is to hoping that Andy can get us playing in January, and get himself paid

If the cowboys defense wasn’t horrible. I would have some confidence that he could play well enough to win games.

If the defense continues to give up 30+ points per game. The cowboys aren’t going to win a lot of games with Dalton, Dak, Romo, Aikman, Roger, Danny white or anyone else playing QB.

I think the OL is still as good or better than most in the league.

Dalton definitely has an opportunity to get himself a nice deal after the season, in Dallas or elsewhere, but unlike Tannehill he's going to need to do more than handoff and watch his defense hold the opponent under 20 points. Dalton has the unfortunate task of having to outscore his own defense.

I think you need to watch more of most in the league.

yea that is not accurate. he came here because of covid affecting the offseason and him living here already.
I just cant see teams not being interested in Dalton for what we paid him. Any other offseason he would probably have been one of the highest paid back ups

I heard that the Cowboys have the weakest strength of schedule for the rest of the season. I still have hope they can make the playoffs. I don't think they'll do much after though.

They do.

they also have the weakest strength of victory so far. 2 wins against two winless teams.

so
How good are they really?

He came to Dallas because the Cowboys we the only one to offer him a contract.
From everything I read, he had options, but he chose Dallas because he and his family live in Dallas and with everything going on this year with the virus, he chose to backup in Dallas this season and planned to go after a new multi-year contract next season with another team.

this season has 5-11 written all over it now because of all of the injuries and the horrible defense we have.

Dalton had a low deal because he came as a backup. All these folks thinking Dalton is going to cust less than 25 a year as a starter is fooling themselves

Apparently that's false,on the post game show, the said he had a few offers from teams to be their starter but he chose to stay close to home this year because of covid.
