He was the one player who had a legitimate opportunity to stop him.

So, is Hamlin like 4-for-4 (6-for-6 going back to last season) in games while failing to wrap up and make a sound tackle?

Of course, in the big scheme of things, it probably doesn't matter because Denver would've run out the clock and kicked a game-winning field goal, but it's still the principle of him being a joke back there.

Why is he still playing?

I know it won't happen, but if I was Wade, I would make a statement by benching Hamlin and Newman and announcing it in a public forum. He would be making a statement to the team and he has nothing to lose, he's not coming back next year anyway.

It won't happen because he'll ask Jerry for permission and Jerry will say no.

I don't see why you would bench Neeman but Hamlin is a scrub.

That would be glorious, but you're right, he won't do anything.

I have a feeling that if Wade was the Captain on the Titanic as the ship was going down, he would be asleep in his cabin.

Hey that's a great idea. Bench your best corner because a receiver outjumped him once in a game. At that rate we'd cycle through all our corners in a couple weeks.

:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

why tackle him...they would have run the clock down and kicked a fG...

I would cut Hamlin today period. I came out of my seat when he didn't tackle Marshall. He is absolutely worthless. I would rather take my chances with Ball or somebody. Can't be any worse.

But he attempted to, and as usual, he missed............

Wade: "Yeah, but you should see what we did to the iceburg!"

Guys,

I have been a member for over 10 years and enjoy reading this forum.

I was watching the game yesterday and pretty much was yelling at the TV for them to let him score because Denver would have killed the clock and kicked the FG anyway.

It sucks when you know that if the other team takes the lead it pretty much is over.

The boys lack the discipline and heart to make a stop when it matters or to score when the game is on the line.

Frankly on that play I was hoping Marshall would score. Had the tackle been made all Denver would have done was run the clock down and kick the FG. Only chance I saw was him scoring and the Cowboys getting the ball back with about a 1:42 left to play. Not saying the defense let Marshall get in just saying it left us with one last oppertunity.

Because we are paying him a lot of money.

I was too. It put the ball back in our hands.

Yeah. As poor as the tackling was on that play, it was best for us to let him score given the time on the clock.

It wouldn't have made a difference anyways, cause, as everyone here has noted, they would've just run out the clock

But even still, Hamlin has shown two weeks in a row that he can't simply tackle receivers and is completely useless as a safety. It didn't matter last week and not really much at all this week, but it is still a sign of things to come: when it matters most, hamlin cannot tackle. We've seen it time and time and time again in the last two years.

Hamlin is a waste of a roster spot. might as well cut him and save some money. an undrafted rookie could do as "good" as Hamin's sorry self

This may go against the grain, but I am never ok with giving the other team points. I understand what you guys are all saying about them running the clock, but anything can happen and them making a field goal isn't a given. I would rather play it out and see what happens than hand over 6. To me, that is lack of heart and effort.

What the... lol come on man. Newman had a solid game at that point. NOT GREAT, but solid. (Champ had a great game) Marshall was a non factor up until that point and you need to understand he is not a scrub WR. The guy is a beast. Newman was beaten on the play but then again Marshall has beaten a lot of CB. It happens unfortunately. And always seems to happen to the Cowboys at the worst time.
I just knew Newman had that, he was in perfect position. :( Anyway if they bench someone it should be Ken Hamlin.

Mike Hamlin can not come back soon enough. I hope the guy is legit we are desperate for free safety help.
