Seeing is Believing

Right on!!! So every 11 weeks we get 1 good Dak game very Groovy man!!!!
Now to the reality of the post here....lions def line was being man-handled all game long and Zeke was having a Superman day....now remember your post and come back in some weeks or so and lets see if you can post it again?

P.S. I hope you can but i highly doubt it.....maybe 11 weeks later.....
Haters hate. That’s what they enjoy to do.

With Dak, it's all about his footwork. When he positions and uses his feet/body correctly, he's very accurate, even on long passes. When his footwork gets hurried or sloppy, he can be brutal.

But this past Sunday he was awesome.

I got to watch the replay of the Cowboys game. Anyone who says Dak was inaccurate this game is blind and does not know the meaning of being accurate passing the ball.

There were at least 4 drops by receivers and 1 bad throw by Dak in the game. Just about every pass was on the mark. If Dak can be consistent and given time in the pocket, he will help any was team get deep into the playoffs and possible Super Bowl.

"Big time players make big time plays in big time games" Dak was a big time player last Sunday.
Since much of your post isn’t subjective..... here is information that is. 100% objective.

Dak has 26 Qbr out of 32
Dallas is 25th in total yards
Dallas is 29 out of 32 in pts scored.

By any objective standard, our offense, and our qb play sucks.
Did dak play much better last Week? No doubt..... but he needs to play like that every game.... and that was a good game, not spectacular.

....since Dak's first year, I have not doubted the guy. And I still wont. If Dak has time to throw, he will make them. But I know its all subjective, people will say what they will. That's ok. Points of views....
Good qbs give themselves more time. Amazing how all of the sudden we now hear that Tyron isn’t what he used to be......lol, I guess I’m gonna need to start calling dak the oline killer now.

Dak should go watch P Mahomes LIVE!! That roll out and switch from his throwing hand to his outside arm and the toss to the receiver is a thing to behold. That kids is smoking defense's, Dak need's to see some of that and remember who he was in 16...out

Dak is not a big time player. He is a jag who needs extra time to throw the ball. When is the last time Dallas beat a good team? Lions and Giants suck. Dont mention the Eagles last year because all the backups played and Dak managed 6 points. The Carolina Panthers was a must win because of the playoff implications down the road and so was the Seattle Seahawks game. Why isnt Dak playing well against those two teams? Too many games last season Dak was just shut down and looked like he has no business as an NFL QB.
Yes the wins against the Lions and Giants were nice and hopefully the Cowboys can beat up on the Texans but unless Dak suddenly turns the corner and starts throwing Darts 15-20 yards down the field this team is always gonna be a popgun offense. Ive been screaming for Zeke to run that wheel route for about a year and half. Thats how long Garrett took to be creative!
Go Cowboys!

Last I heard football was a team sport and that blocking and having a good run team to complement a passing attack is necessary for success. I agree, Dak needs time to throw and a good running attack helps him. So what? Am I missing something here?

Also, its silly to blame all the losses on Dak and not even give him an ounce of credit for anything. Yeah that pass to Zeke was all Zeke and the coaches. Dak had nothing to do with that. Seriously, this argument is becoming silly.

1 outstanding game. Want to see 2 in a row.

before this game he was getting 3 seconds how much more does he need. 5, 10 seconds...

Bang on. His mechanics deteriorate rapidly when he is under duress— and this further exacerbates another big problem he has— seeing the whole field, and making the right throw quickly.

In fairness— all QBs struggle more when under pressure— but Dak is still young and does not yet have the pocket intelligence to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes downfield (at least very often like elite QBs are able to)

Of course a qb needs help, but the qb will also need to do more than the play that’s was designed. You think the chiefs offense is walking up and down the field because of just great blocking and play calls? Are you watching mahomes avoid sacks? I guess the chiefs oline is amazing... because mahomes avoids for sure sacks and makes them look great.

You think every td pass good qbs have is a designed play?

I would love you see our QB coach help Dak with pocket awareness. He often rolls out when there is a perfectly fine pocket to step up into.

In fairness to Dak, that is a skill most mobile QBs have trouble developing. But Dak does seem intent on improving his game. He needs a QB mentor who can really target areas he needs to work on, and then make sure he would on them. I just haven't seen much better this year then his past.

Of all teams we should know this mote than most. How many of Tony's 248 TDs were the play as designed?

THIS GAME...maybe you're right

Last several games. Kinda lame and bad.

Next game? Who knows?

consistently throwing the ball accurately is one small part of being a great QB in the league.

And in the Super Bowl era, most teams winning SB's had great QB's.

Of course the QB has to do his job i.e. throwing the ball, recognizing defenses, improvising on certain plays, etc. However, Im just saying people here are too critical on Dak not being able to perform without a good oline and a top-notch runningback. But this also applies to just about every QB.

Maholmes is well coached. He has an oline that pass protects possibly even better than our line. He was given better selection of plays that revolve our his skillset. He has better receivers and a pass catching TE. Yes some of those bootlegs are designed too and not everything is Malholmes improvising.

Dak is nowhere near as good as Malholmes. As for passing offense, Malholmes support system is better. Better coaching, better receivers and TE, better plays, etc. So I think its unfair just to say that Dak is succeeding because he has a better oline and a top 5 running.

Football is a team sport. A QB needs a good support team as much as he needs to be a skillful QB. Most here would agree.

Dak will always have haters because of who he replaced, it's up to him to win them over. Do it again Dak, if you build it they will come unless it's an igloo in Texas then you'd better move north

No worries Mahomes will fall to earth eventually. Last years QB darling Watson looks as pedestrian as Dak in 2018.

.............but it wasn't a "big time game". He faces a real DL on sunday night rather than the neutered version of Detroit's. Lets see if he can play 2 good games in a row for the first time in over a year.

That’s the difference between average and great. And if that to you was a example of stellar performance in accuracy yards or any category you have a very low ceiling in expectations.
