Terrell Owens or Drew Bledsoe?

What's Drew Bledsoe doing to help Tony Romo?

During the games, I don't see Bledsoe near Romo on the sidelines. I haven't seen him talking to Romo much. I went to the Thanksgiving day game and in pre-game warmups, I didn't see them around each other much. During the game, Bledsoe was on one knee sometimes, standing back others, but when Romo came to the sideline, he wasn't really around him/the coaches.

Is that being selfish? Only caring about his role and not about helping the team? Here's a veteran QB who could help teach a young QB a lot. Bill Parcells himself seems to be doubting Bledsoe's committment...

Go Cowboys!

that's hard to judge cuz we're not there in practice to see what's really going on. if you ask me i'd send bledsoe's *** packin' the day after our last game of the season which i hope is the superbowl and pick up another backup guy.

I don't know. all I know that I've been a Owens supporter from day one. It's just not worth it anymore. We need to end this relationship after this year. Drew has probably already cleaned out his locker so we don't have worry about him.

I was at Thanksgiving as well and when Romo would come to the sideline he was walking right over to where Bledsoe was and I saw them talking a lot of the time. I'm not going to pretend to know what they were talking about but to say he is being selfish without knowing anything of what is going on it foolish.

I agree about Bledsoe I doubt he will be back next year. In the meantime Bledsoe has not been complaining to the media or anyone outside the organization at least that I have seen or heard.

of course he hasn't, he's not a nut.

Bledsoe is a backup that will not be here next year.

TO is a starter and may or may not be back here next year (my suspicion is not).

Bledsoe said a few things one time.

TO keeps going on and on.

Give me TO as most selfish. Bledsoe may be pouting on the sidelines but I don't see him screaming at people, throwing a hissy fit, ragging to the media, missing meetings, sleeping in meetings and so on.

Bledsoe is a stand up guy who honors his contract and position on the team. He helped Brady and he's helping Romo. Say what you want to about his playing ability, but he's a good person.

Owens is selfish, but he's also generous with his friends and dedicated to his craft. Owens' selfishness doesn't manifest on the field.

Off the field-- basically if you don't throw him the ball and you lose games doing it you're going to catch Hell from him, and probably rightfully so.

It's hard for me to call either one selfish.

To me a selfish player is like a Marcus Coleman, who knows his role on the team and flushes it down the drain because he can't call a cab after he's been out drinking. That to me is selfish.

For all of TO and Bledsoe's faults I see them as guys who do not reach those kinds of depths. They don't hang the team out to dry.

But ironically, the reason that he won't be back probably has nothing to do with running his mouth, but more his lack of production. He seems to have gotten old overnight, lost a step. In addition to the dropped passes, his routes don't seem crisp, he can't seem to shake single coverage and he's not breaking tackles like he used to.

These things sometimes happen to good players. I say, personality aside, he's not nearly the same player he was two years ago.

The next question, of course, is who would replace him? Certainly not Patrick Crayton. Glenn is no spring-chicken either.

Javon Walker should have been the offseason target last year. That was just a mistake IMO.

From what I hear, not much out there this coming year.

See, this is easy to say on a message board and all of the anti-TO crowd jumps on board.

But we just lost and Owens only caught 3 balls, but I haven't seen "Hell" from him.

Personally, I don't think it is Drew's responsibility to help Romo. If he did, then great, but not expected on my part. I remember just last year when Favre said he wasn't interested in being a mentor to any new QB when they took, oh what's his name from Cal.
