State Senator Royce West fired back at Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant on Wednesday afternoon, filing a motion for sanctions against the Dallas Cowboys receiver in Dallas County court.

West argues Bryant and his legal team filed their lawsuit against West "in bad faith and without reasonable inquiry into (or with purposeful disregard of) the veracity of their claims."

Royce West and John Wiley Price.....when you see those names around Dallas, you'd best run the other way.

If you are referring to West, I agree. How scumbags like him achieve a position of authority (state senate) is beyond me. He's as slippery as five-day old fish.

Dez needs to seriously rethink his dealings with unsavory characters like his former management group and politicians in general. Of course Dez isn't blameless in these cases but just being in the same room as these people is a bad idea...

Didn't Jerry Jones have a role in brokering the Royce / Dez relationship?

Indirectly.

Des is not the only one out there who is trusting to a fault. Jerry, for some reason, seems like the type who see potential good in people and thought Dez's old mentor (forgot his name) and West truly wanted to help Dez. More than anything, I think they wanted to help themselves to Dez's money.

So pro football talk posts this and will make an issue out of it. That guy over there always has something to attach to Dallas for attention.

I am scared of the stuff on zeke the opening week of the season. Guys like florio can't help themselves and will be searching for something.

At least the game is a fox 3:15 game and not snf so that should slow it down a little.

Well, maybe Dez shouldn't have trashed that house. He is going to be broke within 5 years of retirement supporting all the jobless deadbeats he hangs around with.

I think the good senator better watch himself. I'm sure RocNation can afford top notch legal representation.

that's part of what this is all about. Dez says he didn't trash it. And what dead beats? I think money management is also a service that RocNation provides.
