Senior Bowl weigh in results

I wasn't being a smart#$@ when I responded to you, just giving some reasons.

Yes, I have seen him play in three games this season. He's a good prospect, alot like Vollmer for the Patriots. This is a weak OT class as you know and he's benifiting from that IMO. He's likely going to need a lot of time in the training room and won't be a guy that you can plug in on Day 1.

I wasn't either. I haven't ever watched him play.

I did hear some guys on an Oklahoma station talking months ago about what an underappreciated talent he was. That was well before the draft process so it kind of caught my attention.

Agree with you and IR that he's the type who won't play, or play great, right off -- but it only takes one team with a longer time perspective to pick him.

Anyway, you'd think a guy like him would show a lot this week in practice with NFL coaches. I don't think Colorado had good coaching at all.

FWIW Mayock believes Solder, Castonzo and Camrini will all be successful LEFT tackles in the NFL.

Cam Jordan with prototype 3-4 DE size. Really long arms for a 6'4" guy and freakishly big hands.

I like this guy a lot at our pick.

Yep. He played and provided pressure at every position on the line and every tech except noseguard. Even and odd sets. I think thta kind of versatility would be a tremendous asset for someone who likes to change up fronts and gaps the way the Ryans do.

Mayock is a talking head. /ignore what he says :)

I don't! :D

I think he's probably in line with Jared Odrick from last years draft.

To me, Cameron Heyward (Ohio St.) reminds of Jared O'Drick. The sort of big-framed athlete that's a good run-stopper with litte to no pass rush skills.

Odd, I don't remember that being what I saw and heard about Odrick last year.

I think Odrick would have been a great penetrating DE in the 3-4. I actually remember him seeming almost lanky for a 300+ lb guy and thinking his frame could handle more weight.

He may not have had a lot of pass rush moves other than the bull rush, but he didn't really seem to need many more in college, but it has been a year so I could be remembering wrong.

Odrick is 6'5" 304 lbs, when I say "big-frame," I'm saying he's got length & width (arms/broad shoulders). I see Heyward with the same type of body type.

Odrick was injured early this season, but it will be interesting how he performs next season for the Dolphins. The Cowboys were reported to have shown some interest in him FWIW.

Great start for Wisconsin OT Gabe Carimi. Playing physical, nasty and is mauling defenders. #SeniorBowl

Yup...

Aw man too bad on Stephen Paea...295 is too light at 6'1" for the 3-4 defense. Phil Taylor though...beast! I also like Christian Ballard

Phil Taylor is a beast at the all you can eat Chinese Buffet, not so much on the football field.

Lol, can we stop the Bob Sanders comparisons now?

We want a 183 lb safety coming downhill on a 270 lb Brandon Jacobs? That's not only bad football, but bad physics.

Anyone who's building their team with stopping Brandon Jacobs in mind is going to end up with a slow roster full of chunkzillas.

Allen Bailey measured in smaller than I hoped, 6'3 and sub 280, while I think he can carry another 10-15 pounds, he may actually be best in a 4-3

34 inch arms does make it a bit better. If he can play at 6'3 290 (even 295), I'd be happy.
