I picked Mathis in the 2nd round of my last mock (man, I really just said that, smh) but I’m a bit dubious of him. I’m always suspect of the senior that seemingly comes out of nowhere. I know Bama has a constant stream of talent but he literally did nothing his first three years despite playing (particularly his junior year).

Mathis made a few $$$ with those measurements - a saw a few scouting reports that thought he had short arms.

And DQ likes long arms Osa and Chauncey were both over 34".

Also keep in mind Raekwan Davis had a big passing rushing year at Bama (soph I think) and then his passing rush numbers disappeared. I dont know if they have a way of scheming pass rush for bigger DT's (Payne did almost nothing there), but Mathis is a guy I want to watch once we can get our hands on more film.
