CFZ Sense of urgency in Patriots game

While it’s too early in the season to technically call this a must win game , the unexpected upset in the desert and upcoming tougher schedule presents this game as much more critical to win than originally thought .

If we were 3-0 this would have been a game we could have afforded or at least been able to lose without the impact of falling to .500 with the realistic possibility of falling below .500 heading to SF.

And that’s what makes this game and situation a greater or immediate dire necessity. If we lose this game then the possibility of falling to 2-3 looms heading to SF becoming almost an urgent game.

If you lose 3 in a row then where does it stop. Not to mention what could be the impact and fallout from such an unraveling of the season.

I understand it seems silly to have a must win type scenario this early but for the sake of saving face at least for another week this game because of last weeks upset has become a much greater sense of urgency to stay on track for the goals set forth this season.

I’m not sure why some fans want to dismiss the sense of urgency this game has become as a result of our loss last Sunday?

Are they not concerned what falling to 2-2 presents heading to SF?

Would they feel a greater sense of urgency to avoid 2-3 in SF?

At what point would they feel a greater sense of urgency?

The players need to play with some sense of urgency, that is for sure. Sure didn't feel like they played with any last game.

Easier said than done, but if we can get our first drive resulting in a TD and a 3 and out on defense I think a lot of our qualms will be put to rest early. Need them to come out strong

Looking at the schedule knowing there is some tough games coming up that you could play well and still lose, it's up to the coaches to stress the importance of not overlooking any opponent. The lack of discipline is the trademark of the Cowboys since Jimmy left.
