The guy has taken a beating around here, pretty much deserved, but give a shout out when deserved.

I like what I saw from him tonight, nice game.

The INT that was reversed was a nice play.
Forced Fumble
Knocked out Floyd

Hopefully more of this to come.

Sensi's problem is that he's uneven. He's capable of making big plays, but he also gives them up because he does something stupid. You keep waiting for that light to come on full-time, but he's a vet now, and I don't think he's ever going to play as consistently as he thinks he does.

If he can even out those flashes though and makes the final turn into a solid safety, he'll get that long term contract. Maybe Rob can get it out of him, maybe he'll be replaced. It's an ingredient that can't be overlooked to our success in 2011.

yhea everyone has gone all over his issues, just saying he played well tonight. Shoot if he gets ripped when deserved, he should get a hand when deserved as well. Nice Game!

Sensy looked good out there. Elam is definitely an upgrade. And I like what I saw from Church too.

The safeties didnt play bad last night, they actually played fairly good. The corners on the other hand, flat out sucked.

Ball and Scandrick proved last night that they are not starting caliber corners in the NFL.

If the Cowboys sign Sensabaugh to a long-term deal, they'll regret it within 2 years.

Agreed, Sensy has proven that he is what he is and the ceiling doesnt really go much higher. I remember Ken Hamlin having a monster year and then sucking after he got paid. Dont want to repeat the same mistake with Sensy.

Bottom line............Sensy is just not that good to lock up long term.

Even with Ken Hamlin, he was consistently what he was. He had the big INT year in 2007, but I think he was good at QBing the secondary and preventing the big (passing) play. Since he's been gone, it's just been bombs away on these guys. Sensabaugh has just shown that he's consistently inconsistent. Money will probably exacerbate the problem, especially given the way he's talked about getting paid. He seems like someone that'll go into the tank once his gets his.

This. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys plus Newman, Jenkins, and Scandrick as the DBs in our various nickel and dime packages. I think our defensive backfield, when healthy and comfortable with this new D, has the potential to be pretty good. Combine that with Ware, Ratliff, and a solid front 7, and I think this can be a good defense. If the OL protects Romo and special teams (the kickers) don't hurt us, we should be a very competitive team. There are a few "ifs" there, but just about every team has quite a few "ifs". I'll still take our roster and coaches over most in this league. Barring major injury issues, I think this is a 10 or 11 win team.

Scandrick got beat one time. Or am I forgetting something?

That's all i remember as well and it was against Vincent Jackson on a crossing route. That's tough for anyone to pick up against a premier/fast receiver. Also, it was bombs away against Hamlin his last two years as well.

Heaven forbid Vincent Jackson makes a nice play on Scandrick...

True but both Ball and Scandrick have shown good play at the nickle CB situations. I do feel things will start looking better back there with the return of Neman and Jenkins

Sensabaugh is a good, not great safety.

Abe Elam is a tremendous upgrade. He's better than Ken Hamlin was, and Ken Hamlin was definitely solid for us.

It's like people expect our defense to give up 25 yards passing, -6 rushing, have 12 picks a game and sack the QB on every other play.

It's annoying, but that's what happens on the internet. Everyone's a scout/GM/position coach.

Was Hamlin really that good in his contract year? That seems to be the perception but I'm not sure I agree. Oh wait, yes I am. I am sure he wasn't. Sensebaugh isn't perfect by any stretch, but he is twice the player that Hamlin ever was.

Solid effort last night. NOw if he can carry that over and give us that type of effort on a regular basis that would be a real plus this year.
