Could this be the year that things are finally reversed? Romo and the team have an average start like they have had but finish off the year on fire like the Giants two years ago and go on a run.

I know its wishful thinking but normally I would be ticked off with our start but after all the great starts the last couple of years only to be heartbroken in the end, I am going to let this season play out and I think so should many of you.

However, regardless of what I just said even if we win the Superbowl I would want Garrett gone.

when WRs stop going untouched for 50 yards with 2minutes left in the game... we may have something!

More probable is that the team sucks all season long.

Tackling is no doubt a point of concern with our secondary. But for me I remember thinking that once Marshall got to the point of his cutback from midfield that it was better for us if he went ahead and scored.

Despite our recent struggles I have more confidence in our ability to score than I do our ability to stop a score. (killer 4th down stop by Brooking notwithstanding).

Season??

Try the last 15 years

I am surprised we have won a game since Troy retired .... (though he was kinda overrated as well)

You'd like to think so, but there are a lot of things weighing against that and the most obvious are injuries. You're usually healthier early and hurt later and if you don't have great depth, it catches up to you.

Parcells once said--

September you play your top 25
Oct & Nov you have to play your top 30
Dec & Playoffs you are playing your entire roster and then some (pick-ups).

I think that's pretty accurate.

hate to say it but I have to agree with you on that...
it would be nice if we somehow reverse the trend of the past few years where we blow everybody out until Dec and than we barely cross the finish line

It would be a nice, welcomed, changed. If we start slow and end strong I won't complain in the least about that.

As a Cubs fan, I had the same mentality in spring/early summer.

Didn't turn out so well...

It's possible.

Part of our problem last year was a murderous schedule at the end. Now, we might be playing the toughest teams early, like the Giants and Broncos. It's very possible that the Skins and Chargers won't be as tough as we first thought they'd be.

Atleast the Cubs were more competitve than the Astros,my brother has about lost all hope when it comes to the Astros.
