Seriously, why the whining about picks?

I mean, how many would make the team anyway? They had to take mostly developmental guys with a good payoff if they develop. How many starting spots are really seriously up for grabs on this team. Not that it has pro-bowlers in every spot, but still, this team is not like it lacks players. What it lacks is seems like consistancy and hard work.

I would be surprised if more than 6 of these draft picks make the team. I really only wished they could have traded 4th round pick or two for next year's third round or something.

I know quite a few of us fancy us ourselves as better talent evaluators than Cowboys scouts seems like, but last two years have shown, scouts have done heck of job. So why let them play a down or two, if they make team before start blasting?

Probably not so much that most wanted guys who could start but guys who you wouldn't worry about if they had to step in due to injuries. I'm sure quite a few are worried that few of these guys can do that. We'll see. I'm more hopeful about this group than I feared i would be last night.

Seriously, why the whining about people complaining about the ineptitude of our FO?

Its not that I have lot of confidence in all the picks either, but heck last year I had my head scratching on some picks like Scandrick, Martellus Bennet etc. But seems like Cowboys scouts have proved they know better, besides we don't know for 3 or so years how it will turn out anyway.

How many teams have excellent backups anyway? Mostly zero in the FA era?

This kind of thinking is what led to many of those awful drafts in the mid to late 90's.

There is never a reason to reach or draft for special teams, unless you're drafting a kicker. Drafting "projects" and reaching is what gets teams in trouble. You'd think Jerry would've learned that a long time ago.
