Setting Bounties

Why is setting bounties for legal hits and putting the enemy out of the game such a bad thing and why is even talk of it shushed by the NFL?

I think each team should set and publish bounties for the other teams players each and every week. It would add hard hits and defense back into the game.

Because the game shouldn't be about injuring other players even if it is from a clean, legal hit.

Teams are always going to push the limits, so if you have bounties for legal hits they will also try bounties for illegal hits behind closed doors.
