what is the national avg hit rate on 7th roundersyour star-ness

I saw a breakdown % wise article about it somewhere, and I'm assuming the 7th Rd is the edge before a prospect falls into the undrafted chasm?
I think the odds of a player panning out in the N.F.L was listed at 11% drafted in the 7th(or that might be in the 6th, anyway it was insightful to me as the odds were pretty much equally the same in a lot of the later rounds.,, not that that R.S. needs any support in defence of his musings, just thought I'd share something I found Eye-opening to me, I think it was over at BtB[/QUOTE])

You're out on Hitchens, Lawrence, Wilson, Nzeocha, Green, and Swaim already, or is this more shtick?

If you exclude all the first round probowlers, and if you exclude last year's draft, and if you arbitrarily don't consider anybody brought in through the exact same evaluation process in college free agency, and if you then overlook the contributions of the players actually named, other than that, what have you got, really?

Exactly. You have a poster who doesn't want to admit he's been wrong about the direction of the franchise and our ability to assemble talent for years. If you don't agree it's because you're afraid to have an honest discussion about talent. Lol.

I say I would be right. Will McClay's first two years don't impress me whatsoever. Last year was good. He's 1 for 3 in the draft. Those picks from the 2nd-7th rounds in 2014 and 2015 suck. Not even average.

But I get it. Tom Ciskowski was once the super secret and genius runner of this franchise. Now it's this Will McClay fella. In a few years it'll be someone else. Round and round we go.
I think Damien Wilson and your favorite Hitchens for forth round picks are contributing and coming along. It's the axiom "three year rule" we always fall back on.
But your paper boys know that "ask dem"

Yeah kinda sorta in a fan site kind of way but not really.

Take a look at these names....

DeMarcus Lawrence, Anthony Hitchens, Devin Street, Ben Gardner, Will Smith, Ahmad Dixon, Ken Bishop, Terrance Mitchell, Randy Gregory, Chaz Green, Damien Wilson, Ryan Russell, Mark Nzeocha, Laurence Gibson, Geoff Swaim.

That's a list of the players drafted after the first round since "draft guru" and kinda sorta GM but definitely not really Will McClay has served as the Cowboys assistant director of personnel with the exception of this past draft.

I present to you it's a big steaming pile of crap.

2016 looks better but that's one year. The other two were abortions. This reeks guru to me too. I just can't stand how lucky we are to have him. Our pretend GM. If you only read fan sites.

Who's to say those were all Mcclay picks? The majority of those guys were also 6th and 7th round picks too.
