and none of you made mistakes at 16 or older

If by "mistakes" you mean making sexy time with my biological sister ... I can honestly say I've never made mistakes.

I still maintain that if they were both minors and had sex consensually there should be no criminal offense or at the very least they should both have gotten charged. Incest or not.

I don't care what his coaches say I do not believe that it was consensual.

I agree with you and it also should have been sealed and not require him to notify areas he's a sex offender. Now if it wasn't consensual then he got what would be expected. Quite a sick mess either way unfortunately.

Yeah offender doesn't even begin to describe this situation.

While offensive. 16-15, consensual, where's the crime?

I think he's not being totally honest. It may have been consensual to him, but obviously not to his sister. GAW I can't believe I just said that!!

At that age, you don't need to girl to say a word for it to be considered a sexual offense. The state can prosecute on her behalf whether she wants them to or not.

He was underage as well. I know children, by law, can't consent to having sex with adults. I didn't know that it applied to children doing it amongst themselves.

There's a chance that at 16, he was considered an adult. In most states the age of consent is 16.

The age of consent doesn't make them adults though.

I think the fact that his sister doesn't want to speak to reporters speaks volumes. Because all we have is Washington saying that it was consensual.

lol good point. I forget most families aren't open about stuff like that like the BrainPaints.

It's just very odd.

I bet the family reunions are a blast....:lmao:

All kidding aside... I believe that hes changed... I know some of his teammates and they speak very highly of him. It was a mistake and he will carry that burden the rest of his life.

me is that, if it was consentual, how did anybody find out ? Also, for that to happen ( becoming known so quickly ), it must have been more than one time too.

I mean, somebody must have found out about it and deliberately turned them in.

Parents ?

I do not know the laws in LA where it occurred but in most states I think having sex under 18 regardless if it was consensual or not is consider a crime. The thing is that he had to petition to have his records seal and heprobably did not do it. I am surprised that he has to register as sex offender wherever he goes. Most states your juvenile crimes do not follow you. The only explanation for this is that he did not enroll or complete a sexual offenders program.
