Shakeup at CAA - NFL Super Agent Ben Dogra fired

From a fan perspective, it doesn't mean much. Why this matters is that CAA represents several over 200 players in the NFL, several of them high profile, including Romo, Witten, now Dez.

When agent is "fired for cause" that connotates bad acts. It also is a PR & legal statement by agency to avoid contractual obligations.
Interesting to see how this CAA Dogra, Condon, Sexton mess shakes down. I'm not placing bets. See lots of throw up from all. No favorites.
CAA Dogra. Covenants not to compete. Representations, warranties time of signing. Law does not favor strong covenants not to compete.

NFLPA doesn't give a crap about agent disputes although all are heard there. It cares about the fiduciary duty of agent to client-protected.
NFLPA contracts with players are personal. Agent reps the player, not the Agency. No one cares about the Agency & its agreement with agent.,

He's signed to Roc Nation. CAA partners with them for contracts.
