Shanahan in Dallas?

I don't mean for this to sound like a rumor but it will. Was curious if this could be verified. My father in law, who lives in Big D, said that Shanahan was in Dallas, or has been in Dallas talking to Jerry. Please don't dog me on this as I was just curious if anyone else had heard or could verify this was true.

shefter reports lots of things.

last year he said the patriots thought cassle couldnt play and he would get released in favor of gonzalez. He then said he thought cassle would sign in Dallas.

He also said pacmans career was over after his injury.

that is just off the top of my head. He says lots of stuff.

and much like mortensen does for parcells, shefter wrote a book with shanahan so Dont be suprised if ends up doing some posturing for the guy at some point.

Dont know how true Shanahan being in Dallas is, but one thing i know, Jerry always likes to make a big splash during the Superbowl Week, he loves the attention, and if he really wanted to make a change at HC or even cut TO he would do sometime leading up to the Superbowl. :starspin

of course hes not cause the opportunity isnt there, so yeah hes gonna retire hes not trying to be a coordinater

he hasnt been offered any head coaching jobs.

He may be done with his vacation, maybe not. Friday Shanahan was in Cabo when all the rumors started flying.

I highly doubt he is in Dallas. Not saying it is impossible. I'd love it if it were true. I just don't think it is going to happen.

Besides, who would he be meeting with from the Cowboys? They aren't in Dallas, they are in Mobile, Alabama getting ready for the Senior Bowl.

The last 4 games - Shanahan coached were the first 4 in 1999, and he lost all 4. He has lived in Denver since then and hasn't coached a game since!
