This is from Adam Schefter's twitter feed:

"Mike Shanahan's busy. Pittsburgh today, New England tomorrow, then on to Texans and Cardinals camps, before studying Florida w/ Urban Meyer."

"People asking why Shanahan doing this. Simple. He wants to learn from great coaches/systems and make himself even better when he returns."

So, is he learning how to better select his defensive coordinator then?

I fail to see what going down to Tallahassee is going to do to correct his biggest problem as a professional coach and that is fielding competitive defenses to go with his offenses.

His son is their offensive coordinator, Alex Gibbs is their line coach and Kubiak worked with him for years. Sounds like he was catching up with them moreso than taking a coaching junket.

About the only thing interesting there is he's looking at a couple of "spread" type attacks with Meyer and picking Whisenhunt's brain.
