He was busted for marijuana possession. Word is that he is going to plummet from the top 10 all the way down to the 3rd or 4th round.

He's a dominant pass rushing DE, a potential difference maker. Imagine Hardy, Lawrence and Ray. Pass rushing goes from our biggest weakness to a huge strength.

Shoot, marijuana is legal in some states and I think about half of all college students smoke it. I never did, but it never bothered me that much. I always thought alcohol was way more harmful and dangerous.

I would absolutely pluck him if he's still there in the 2nd round. I'd be tempted if he's still there when the Cowboys pick at 27. Hard to pass up guys with that kind of talent.

Thoughts?

A little light. And now I'd say a little dumb.

If he's there at 60 I don't know how you can pass on him. If he makes it past the first round I doubt he makes it all the way to us.

i think he'd probably be a consideration if he lasted until 27. but i would be shocked if he fell out of the first unless more things popped up about him. it's hard for a guy projected as high as pick# 5 to fall out of the 1st round .

but then again the draft is always full of surprises.

That's how I feel. Reports are saying he could drop to the 3rd or 4th round, but a team is going to take a chance on that talent before then.

Maybe I should have questioned whether to take him at 27 in the title because it has to be a real question for our war room.

I think that Hardy on one side and Ray on the other, with Lawrence rotating with both of them helps our secondary more than a CB at that spot.

Take Ray at 27, the best CB available at 60 and hope that a guy like Ajayi is there in the 3rd round. Take the sure-fire top 5 talent if he's there at 27 and go from there. Don't let a guy smoking weed scare you off from drafting a difference maker.

Still won't make it out the first round. A weed smoking sack specialist is better than a sober JAG.

I'll be surprised if Dallas takes him off their board.

He has 2 issues. Week and a foot injury issue. Some reports indicated he need surgery.

It not about the actual smoking of weed that is a problem, but the probability of being suspended because of it.

I think he would go before 27 if he does not really need surgery. If he does need surgery, that has only dropped the really talented by about 1/2 round several times the past few years. Tank Carradine was drafted with pick 9 in the 2nd despite an injury that would prevent him from playing as a rookie. He was originally a mid or late 1st. Brandon Thomas was drafted at the end of the 3rd despite the same situation. He was originally projected as a 2nd/3rd without the injury.

I think GM's care a lot less about these issues than you're giving them credit for. Marijuana possession or not, he's won't be there when we select in the 2nd round.

I tend to agree with those who say he won't be there at 60. If he slides to the 2nd, I think he's going early in the 2nd. He's too talented.

He's not going to plummet because of a misdemeanor weed charge. If he plummets it will be because a lot of teams medically red flagged him. I'm expecting him to go late teens/early 20's if his foot isn't too much of a problem.

Complete moron.

If you can't forego during draft week, can you forego weed under any circumstance?

Well, according to this then.. we should be able to draft Gregory in the 1st and Ray in the 2nd. We'll have the highest defensive line to date.

I would be more concern of his turf toe injury but if he is there at 60 and he medically checks out, I would take him.
