One thing I wouldn't describe gridiron football as is "sweet." I think that's soccer...no wait, that's the beautiful game or something....

Players are increasing their level of athleticism and couple that with the reduced training camps, and you have guys who are taking harder hits with less time to acclimate themselves to the rigors of the season.
