I'm not impressed with him. He's got good pursuit and ball awareness but can't shed blocks.
What's the story on this guy? Is he good enough to play S and nickel LB?

Those are not good numbers for his size.
He is a boom/bust type player, IMO. He looks terrific in a lot of areas in game footage, but he is small as a LB and those times are way off from what I expected for him. Maybe he had an issue and can put up better number at his pro day. Either way being a tweener Safety/LB is not going to help his draft stock, IMO.

He runs in the low 4.6 range more often and has the production to be taken in the first two days. His combine 40 didn't help him but I doubt it hurt him.
They're now reporting 4.64 which is much better but still slower than I expected at 228 pounds.
It is a one time 40 and he's had better. Best to look at the film and see his football speed. Sounds like he could play Will, nickel LBer and/or nickel S.
