Shea McClellin is a FA

McClellin is now a FA. A first round pick in 2012, drafted while Marinelli was the DC for the Bears.

In 4 seasons, he had 161 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and 1 forced fumble while playing DE, OLB, and ILB. I'm not saying this would be a great FA signing, but I do think there is a good chance he's with the Cowboys in 2016.

Yeah, supposedly he was looking pretty good at ILB before going down with injury last year. Just wondering if we do sign him, if Marinelli moves him back to DE or allows him to continue his progression at linebacker.

McClellin is also an all day sucker, he gives it his all every down.

Wouldn't be opposed too it, I'm sure if Marinelli knows he's hitting the market and wants him, he's already told them about him, could be a good bargain pick up. Just gotta keep him at one position, maybe even LB & have him rush the passer on 3rd downs.

Yeah, Rod seems to like guys who can play multiple positions (Even if McClellin doesn't play them all at a high level). Probably the most realistic FA pickup out there.
