“Within the last couple of weeks, I was told that Kyle was wanting to come back now and was going to show up to training camp,” Wilson said. “They decided not to bring him back. But he did intend on coming to camp.”
How did this get past all the ace reporters in the metro area?

Just a question... anyone click the link in the tweet to the article?

My bad for not adding a clearer snippet.

Wilson, who is close to Orton, was upset he didn't return any calls or texts all Spring. He was surprised Orton showed up to Valley Ranch a couple of weeks ago, but said he was in shape. Wilson asked him point blank if he was just showing up to collect his salary and Orton replied that if he was here, he would do everything required to be the best he could be. Dallas decided to part ways after seeing Weeden throughout the OTAs.

Just more evidence of a rift with management. A bit of a downer amongst otherwise positive news.

I agree. It's obvious the team didn't appreciate his antics and after what happened with Ratliff were not going to put up with this guy missing the whole offseason. When Orton decided he wanted to come back after all they had already made their decision to move past him. I for one don’t blame them for letting him go. Like the article says, let’s wait and see if some team gives him a chance. Is not as if Peyton Manning became available all of the sudden. It’s still Kyle “Freaking” Orton we’re talking about here.
