Sheduer dropping like a lead weight

Not to me. It was the media projecting him to go high. They fell for the spew. Think about it: Slow, questionable arm strength, celebrity. Dude is not a top QB prospect and never was. Deion should've married a more athletic girl.
I was thinking the same thing. Who ruined Dieons genes? lol

That said we have seen slow but accurate QBs have great success in the NFL. . Manning ......Brady ......Montana...... ...... some of the greatest QBs of all time were slow afoot but deadly accurate with the ball. The more important skill is accuracy with the football and that's what made Sheduer a projected top 10 talent. He's certainly better than Jackson Dart and the other 4 QBs that were drafted in rounds 2 and 3.

He's dropping bc of his persona and arrogance not lack of talent. Him and his dad have been extremely arrogant during this process refusing workouts with teams they didn't think would have a shot at drafting him or simply didn't want to play for. They read the room wrong and overplayed their hand. Rumors are he was insufferable in interviews. So this a personality thing not a talent issue.

He was unequivocally the second best QB prospect in this draft. I can't find a single online publication that had anyone but Cam Ward going in front of him.

Why was it okay for the Manning's to navigate where Eli can go but not Deion?
Eli has a great arm and a strong family history of QBs in the NFL. It's talent.

Once again, how do you guys keep ignoring talent? Shedur is slow, short, and has poor arm strength.

On this I disagree w/ you. Think, man. Shedur is short, unathletic, and has poor arm strength.

Dart is much more talented. Yes, he is raw, that's why the Gnats will start Wilson for a year to see if he can get his NFL feet under him.

Shedur was the 4th or 5th most talented QB in the draft. At best. His pro comp is Will Grier.

The truth is that I'M not wrong. I'm just parroting what every draft guru says about him. Kiper had him rated ahead of Cam Ward and he's been evaluating QBs for 47 years. And it's not just Mel, everyone else had him ranked as the #2 QB prospect. All these people were fooled? He's not short. He's 6'1 which is not ideal but it's not Kyler Murray or Bryce Young. Brees was only 6'0. He's not dropping bc he only 6'1. His arm strength isn't elite but it's on NFL par.

Well first off because Manning had talent. Milroe is black last I checked!
So is QB Ward the number 1 overall pick in the entire draft.

The player and his dad should have humbled themselves a bit in the process. They massively misread his talent.

I mean who wants a distraction like that on their team? Especially when he may be a bust. Coaches and GMs don't like getting ripped in the media by a player or his famous father.

Shedeur comes from HOF pedigree. All the scouts and draft experts got it wrong? Every player has flaws, you mean to tell me he isnt good at anything?

And Dillon Gabriel is a measly 5'11

Because Eli was an elite QB talent (beyond even Ward) and didn’t have these continuous rumors of a problematic personality

Had Cam Newton or Jameis Winston declared they wouldn’t play for the team that had pick 1, it would have worked out like Eli’s situation. That’s complete apples to oranges of what’s happening with Shedeur

It is ridiculous so many people are invested in a qb who "sucks" dropping out of the 1st 3 rds. Kinda weird to take joy in that.
Well...I don't get that either.

His issue wasn't race though.
It was an epically bad Pro Day, Black-balling several NFL teams, not even talking to teams in lower half of 1st round, and skipping the combine stuff.

But yes, he should've been drafted long ago

Deion did him no favors. Deion promised that he would be a top 5 pick in this draft, Deion promised that Shedeur would not play for certain teams. The kid turned down interviews with teams that he felt would be a waste of time as they were picking too late. No Combine workout, a Pro Day that was pretty embarrassing. His camp or team played it all wrong unfortunately. I bet Milroe goes before him at this point.
You were right. Besides his character his skillset didn't awe anyone... Dude played in the FCS for 2 years and then 2 years at Colorado with a 13-12 record. Against above avg/elite competition looked meh. I think Ewers from Texas and McCord from Syracuse are better options in round 4.

HOF CB pedigree. Pay attention, dude.

Gabriel would've been the first QB taken if he were 6-1 and not 800 yrs old.

His father ran a 4.2 forty.

Mercy sakes alive, why are so many of you flatout ignoring his poor physical traits? That's why he's falling, not some weird theory about....something.
Did that help him in coaching, where everyone doubted him?

Deion was a successful 2-sport athlete, a huge pop culture success, a Division 1 college football coach.

While he was a naturally gifted football player, he willed himself into being a workaday major league baseball player. He was a very smart player, a hard worker, and a student of the game. He was arrogant, but he backed it up.

It's bigger than this... I don't know if I'd hire someone with complete overconfidence and arrogance groomed into you from birth from your Dad into my company either, no matter how talented you are. And he's good, but not great...so, the Sanders Family just overplayed their hand. I have no empathy or sympathy for these overblown athletes, especially not one coming out of college.
