Shockey Hurt, Problems with Eli?

So big deal. Shockey is able to make two additional plays after getting hit in the head. It's not like he had his jaw broken and showed right back up to play.

I know many Giants fans that would jump at taking Witten over Shockey. Probably Cooley over Shockey (to make all those deadskins happy). Honestly, Giants fans are sick of the lack of dedication and off the field antics. Coughlin does not need stuff like this. This team is very good, but I am not sure they have the head coach and players to keep it together. Maybe I am wrong. I just am not sure how much people like Coughlin or want him as their head coach.... He seems like Parcells without the psychological side to me.

I'm with you on this. I thought it would happen a couple of years ago but they went through it alright.

I don't think there's any problem with his dedication. He's a guy very much like TO.

Shockey is easy to hate.

A serious jerk with major talent. At least we've got one of those now too.

I think he's more hype than talent.

He flashes GREAT potential...makes some great plays...and then drops 2 easy passes every game. He's also an average, at best, blocker.

Now as far as that jerk thing, THERE is an area where he has reached his potential.

I'm not sure I agree with you on Coughlin. He is a very good coach. The problem with this team lies with the players. They have too many powder kegs on that team. Look at how this team played under Fassel and how much they whined in the media when Coughlin put them through a tough training camp. I don't think any head coach could keep this group from blowing up.
