Shockingly bad customer service

I had a similar issue and email chain with the people at Steam. Suffice it so say, I've bought the first and only Steam product I will ever buy. Those people are lowlife crooks.

Wow, unbelievable.

The older I get the more I appreciate good customer service and absolutely deplore bad service.

Gotta love how towards the end the guy from Ocean starting backpedaling and trying to change his tune. Lol, he even asked the Mike guy if he was going to some conference.

So he really got fired. Excellent.

He didn't actually get fired, he IS Ocean Marketing he just lost the Avenger account and probably several others if he had any. I'm sure he'll figure out a way to make money from it.


The funniest thing I saw in all of this came from Geico. They have redeemed themselves after the horrible Orakpo commercials:

Yeah I didn't see your post, fun thing is to go to his Youtube channel youtube.com/oceanmarketing and thumbs down his idiotic videos like him on a motorcycle being an az, or complaining about having to live next to the highway calling the real estate agency "unethical" and then boasting he was in real estate. So um why did he get the property without reseach if he is such a know it all expert?

I think a better question is if he is so well connected in the gaming industry how did he not know who he was talking to?

The most annoying thing about him (besides his attitude) was his writing. Everything was one long run-on sentence riddled with typos and grammatical errors.

Yeah he was actually responding to the customer-Dave that Mike had replied in and Dave forwarded to him. But yeah the Mike(Penny arcade) usually goes by Gabe, it is hilarious to see his tone change once he realizes he is back talking to someone that is "important" instead of just a customer. He really reacts completely to Mike after and avoids and deflects the real issue of himself interacting that poorly in the first place, pathetic.

Without a doubt this (bbgun's statement is true), but I have to be honest. Something is false about this. I'm a big time penny arcade fan, but something about this "event" is hidden.

Yes, I have no doubt this guy is an EXTREME ***, but something here is false and I have ZERO doubt. They may not have lied, but the complete truth is being hidden. That I have no doubt.

btw, I saw this yesterday. After reading it I knew someone was not being completely honest.

Whomever this "guy" is, he deserves what is coming...but this isn't the whole truth of what has occurred.

Are you saying that Mike fudged things or omitted things on purpose? I don't think it was an attack against N-controllers, they seem to be the ones really getting an s-storm for no reason out of this.

Im shipping this because your owed a unit , That’s it , I could care less about court . Anyway I won’t stoop to your level I run a few companies . I just knew of your issue as of lately since the transition. Were now doing most business through Amazon easy to track and has a lot of order and recognition. Your controller order was already placed as soon as In finished writing that email. Post this where ever you want your one little person out of Millions we don’t mind the attention negative or positive its attention press and media for free stir it up. Customer service is outstanding and I’m taking care of everything now in a timely manner , karma is a well you know the saying. So do what you think you need to your New Avenger is going in the mail tomorrow morning. Thanks for the email and any controversy and attention you can stir up , enjoy your new Avenger the new ones are really nice. Have a great day

I don't think I've ever heard anyone blast Steam's customer service, let alone call them crooks.

If it weren't for Steam, there may not be much of a PC gaming industry left today.
