who cares.....

My thought exactly. As a draftnik, i don't care to see the top 5 picks gone on draft day. I love the intrigue;)

From my understanding, despite the PC and Jake Long sporting the Dolphins cap nothing is official until the league processes the paperwork and the league approves the contract. Something which I'm told would have had to been started today in order to complete by Saturdays draft.

In short order, the Dolphins will remain on the clock until the card is handed in.

i do, i was wanting say the top 5-6 spots filled, that way we would know if mcfadden falls or not, and if jerry might be trying to trade up to get him at 7th spot or so.

that way the draft would be quicker too, im not sure if you guys are aware of it or not, but the draft starts at 3pm not 11 like usually does, so that means it might be 11 pm or midnight before draft is over just figure it up;

10 minutes to first rounds;
that could go to like up to 5 hours first round;

which would put it at 8 pm,

for first round;

then 7 minutes in 2nd round;
could be 4 more hours;
that would put it at midnight;

so i would say anywhere from 10:30 to midnight;

thats a 9 hour draft,

now if you took it when started at 11am,
generally was over by 10:30 pm and that was 3 rounds,

i think waiting to 3pm is a big big mistake;

The draft is the biggest off season event for the NFL and is drawing big time viewers. They do not want the suspense waning.

Yeah that's got to be it. Part of the fun of the draft is the drama of it they probably don't want this thing up to pick 3 by Saturday.

It was my understanding only the team with the 1st pick is allowed to negotiate with their pick.

exactly, why even have the draft if the 1st round is already in progress on tuesday.

I just can't see there being much interest in the "National Football League Contract Agreement Announcement Ceremony".

I suppose there would be a few who would geeked at finding out what each contract entails but not me.
