Deadly shooting of 8 in Plano, Texas

Eight people were fatally shot this evening in a home in Plano, TX, including the suspected gunman, who was killed by police.

Two other shooting victims were taken to the hospital for medial treatment, Plano police officer David Tilley told USA TODAY.

"We’re looking into a motive," he said. The relationship between the victims and the shooter not yet known, he said.

The Texas Ranger Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety was also on the scene of the investigation, said Tilley. The offer who shot the suspect was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation, which is protocol, he said.

Pretty surreal. I didn't know him well but they were a young couple with a lot to live for. I can't believe he was able to take out an entire house full of people. Apparently a bunch of people had just left the party too, so it could have been a lot worse.

I went through a very sad and tumultuous divorce. Extremely crazy and unexpected. Everyone thought we'd last forever.

I never once thought to hurt her or anyone else. Even people that others may feel I should've hurt.

We now co-parent and love each other, still. We hated each other at one point.

These acts are always spur of the moment. This man should be executed.

Women....man we can have our own subthread on this subject. They are fickle creatures, but at the end of the day we are men for a reason. We have to stay strong when the winds turn. This guy was a coward for letting a relationship drive him mad to this extent.
