Landry made the Super Bowl and lost in 78.

Won division in 79.

He made the NFC Championship in 80, 81 and 82.

A 12-4 wild card in 83 and won the division in 85.

Mediocre in 86 and 87.

Was bad for one season in 88.
85 Bears, 86 Giants and 87 Washington…2 of the greatest teams of all time and the 3rd that put on a Supebowl display.

What exactly do you think that McCarthy and Quinn are? Are you kidding? You don't think that McCarthy and Quinn are good?
Did you not hear Jerry say we have two head coaches the other day? One for offense and one for defense.

That's how he thinks you build a team ........ with multiple middle men and Jerry in charge.

That is why the team is not disciplined enough to make it in the playoffs when things start getting tough ....... because nobody fears the coaches ........ because they have no real power.

Its all Jerry ...... and he likes to be buddies with the players.

My grandmother was Bum Brights secretary during this time. It's interesting to hear her stories.

I will ..... because he has wasted almost 3 decades pretending he knows what he is doing.
Lol, poor baby. So, Chief fans should hate the Ciefs because they went over 50 years between Super Bowl wins?

The previous owner should have let Landry go way before JJ bought the team. Instead, he could not do it. In comes JJ and poof...Landry is gone.

It looks bad on JJ because the perception is "Who is this random guy and what right does he have to come in and fire a legend?"

I believe the fan base would have accepted the firing had it been anyone but a stranger to do it. I think there has been resentment at JJ since that day. I don't think fans liked JJ too much even after the third title.

Make no mistake though, Landry had to go. It was time.

I’m really surprised Emmitt was pushing to leave the Cowboys and go to Miami with all the success he was having. Had he gone to Miami he would’ve ended up with only one Super Bowl, and wouldn’t be the NFL’s all-time leading rusher. He might not have even ended up in the Hall of Fame. Miami didn’t have near the team or the OL for him to continue on the same path.
