Might be the only guy still in his corner...but I still think Garrett can be successful HC. Wade is painful to listen too...I am sure its not only the fans who see this. In any case....we have tried the outdated old grumpy coach thing (twice in row)......this team needs to be energized with some youth at HC position. It was great watching Denver coach show such emotion after beating Patriots....I havent felt that way since a younger Jimmy Johnson was hired.

My short list
Jason Garrett (Dallas OC, age: 43)
Sean McDermott (Eagles DC, age: 35)
Pete Carmichael, Jr. (New Orleans OC, age: 38)
Chuck Cecil (Tennessee DC, age: 44)

Can we please have a moratorium on this until at least Week 9?

No kidding. I bet there are more "new coach" threads than any other type around here.

It's embarrassing.

Russ Grimm, age 50, OL/Assistant head coach Arizona Cardinals.

I love the idea of finding a "hot" young assistant coach if the right guy is out there, but Grimm would make a solid head coach, IMO.

He was a finalist in Pittsburgh along with Ken Whisenhunt and Mike Tomlin, contract numbers were even discussed between the parties.

The Rooneys know how to identify solid head coach candidates, I hope we at least interview Grimm if a new coach is indeed needed next off-season.

Agreed. The "new GM" threads should be a much higher priority.

What is with all the Chuck Cecil love? Has anyone been watching the Titans D since Cecil took over? There were calls in Nashville for Fisher to take back playcalling on D by the second week.

He gives fiery press conferences and is angry, and goes after the media. Those are two of the most important head coaching qualities according to Zoners, right?

I think college coaches are better fits for NFL teams that are in complete rebuilding modes.

We have plenty of talent, I'd rather not have to go through the adjustment of the head coach (and likely most of his staff) learning the NFL game on the job.
