Short yardage situations

Anyone notice one thing: the Eagles didn't show once that they could drive the ball on our defense. Their only points came off of long passes. If we could cut down on those, we could've easily given up less than 20 points. Our safeties in particular HAVE to play better.

And on offense...

The short yardage situations KILLED us today. how many short yardage situations (less than 2 yards) did we have today that we didn't convert? It seemed like there were quite a few times where we'd get a 7-8 yard pass or run on first down and then simply not be able to pick up the little bit more for a first down.

Do we have a solution? Makes me wish we had a big back like the Giants have in Brandon Jacobs. Lousaka Polite is a hard runner, but he isn't that big for a fullback.

It is pretty amazing that we could not pick up 1-2 yards on multiple occasions. Remember the quck hitch to TO and he ran for like 9 yards and then we ran twice for nothing and punted.....made me sick to my stomach:ralph:
