Shotty Expectations and Longevity

After sleeping on it, thinking about the topic Question, I think Jerry probably doesnt have any real expectations at his age. Heck, having a daily bowel movement might be the best he can strive for. Even that is not a given lol.

I think Schotty will be here as long as his contract. Winning and losing aren’t the keys. Jerry doesn’t like paying someone off who’s gone.

It’s why he didn’t fire Big Mac after the GB playoff disaster. Mac had one more year on his contract. Big Mac wasn’t fired at the end of 2024 - his contract expired and they didn’t agree on another.

It’s also a big reason why JJ kept Garrett after three straight non-playoff 8-8 seasons from 2011-13. Garrett had one more year on his contract in 2014 and it produced a 12-4 playoff season and Garrett was given a new contract which ran out in 2019. He was not fired, they just didn’t extend his contract.

My prediction is Schotty will be here until his contract runs out, regardless of results.
100% Results aren't important to Jerrah, money is.

Just like you are trolling now I guess.

But I don't troll, only in your own head, I tell the truth. And you don't like.
Jerry does care about winning. He just is not great at building the right team. So fans cope by saying he doesn't care.

Jerry cares about winning. He he just doesn’t care more than he cares about being in total control, getting credit for doing things his way and being the center of attention.

Shotty Expectations and Longevity. I think he will last as long as his girl emotions take him, or if his eyes swell up so shut he can't see the field anymore.

Absolutely not true. Jerry has admitted publicly that he is a bad GM. Insisting on remaining in that role even though he knows he's bad at it shows unequivocally that he does not care.

I'd say the opposite. You are desperately trying to cope by telling yourself that he does care, even though all the signs point toward the exact opposite. Jerry only cares about self.

Disagree.

Jerry expects him to keep us around the rim. That's all. He could be here a decade like Garrett.

What are Jerry's expectations for the coming season and the tipping point for our next HC change? My guess is that if we don't go deep into the playoffs after Jerry's strong off-season retooling, I think Shotty may be gone. After all, Jerry did say he wants to win four more SBs, so I doubt he's going to allow any coach a long tenure without results.
What are our HC's expectations and longevity of our GM?

Let's see, does everything the opposite of the way it needs to be done and doesn't care. Explain to me how you can conclude he wants to win?

My point is. He only cares about winning “his way” where he gets to be the center of attention and get all the credit.

Of course, that isn’t working because he
Is a terrible GM. One of the worst in the league.

Therefore, he doesn’t care about winning more
Than himself and his own pride and ego.

His career is tied to Dak, and he will probably be here as long as Dak is here. Probably 3 more seasons for the both of them.

Disagree.
Of course you do.

Lets do some math here.

Since 1996 the NFCCG hasnt had the Cowboys in it.

Since then. They havent made it past the divisional round.

What other GM in the NFL has that bad of a track record? Do you want to discuss playoff wins?

You can disagree all you want.

There are teams who have been to a SB, tore it down, rebuilt, and got back to a SB in the same time frame. Some of them multiple times.

People here were saying they wouldn't have done what the Rams did when they won. Which was buy buy buy and utilize future draft picks to do so. They have since torn it down, and rebuilt again and are legitimate contenders this year. AGAIN.

You know what the difference is? The GM and HC both WANT TO WIN.

He will last the length of his contract. I haven’t seen anything to suggest he’ll get another contract.
