Should Carter act as a QB spy on T-day?

Seems like if there's one LB in the league capable of matching up athletically with Griffin it's our own Bruce Carter.

My question is should we use him as a QB spy in this game or would you rather mix it up to keep the Commanders guessing?

I lean toward the spy role and scheme around that. Bruce's only responsibility in this game is to keep his eyes on the QB.

I'd be okay with it.

Without Sean Lee in there, I'm not sure how well this will work. Dan Connor or Ernie Sims against the inside run is a little worrisome.

You really think that they are going to flush him out with the three man rush?

with the Commanders if we stop the triple option we take away 90 percent of their offense

I let griffin beat us with his arm,

i'm just worried about the discipline on the option

He can still play the run. Watch the QB. If he hands off, go in run mode. But there would be no coverage responsibility other than the QB.

I just don't want to see us lose a game by this guy running for 100 yards or something. We've got someone with the athleticism to shut it down. Let's use it and make Griffin put on his big boy pants and be a real NFL QB this week if he wants to win.

No. Let RG3 run. If he gets a 7 yard carry, who really cares. Beats a 20 yard pass. And he can get roughed up more on a run. Make him beat us from the pocket, which he hasn't even come close to doing so far in the NFL.

I'd rather send Scandrick after him about 2-3 times during the game..

This would have been the plan if Lee was still playing. But with Carter as the QB of our defense, you can't do that.

My thoughts, exactly. I hate having to waste a defender spying on a QB. Just maintain your gaps and cover well. Get your pressure and let him beat you with his legs if he can.

Is it just me or does it seem that RGIII only throws post patterns all the time. Seems like he does it on almost every down...

It's easy to exploit of you're doing it on every down, i'd mix it up

So Did RGIII put on his big boy pants today?

Sure did, in my book. Fun player to watch. He's still a filthy Sk*n, though.
