Video: Should Dak Prescott be concerned with Joe Milton joining the Cowboys?

I think Milton will be given every opportunity to prove himself in the preseason. If he does not, then it won't be Grier at No. 2 ahead of him. We'll go get someone.

I do believe that right now we want Milton to be the backup, but he's got to show that there is reason to entrust him with the role.
Yeah with the back ups back ups just like Lance.

Milton, like Lance, will be forced to look great with guys that will be working at gas stations a few weeks later.

Miltons real opportunity will come when Dak goes down with his yearly injury.

When Dak gets. injured, again. And Milton comes in and wins. Should Dak stay benched like Romo was.
The answer was no then and will be no now. Romo should have gotten his job back and Prescott should get his job back the minute he is healthy.

At the very least the team knows that if the starter is off or rusty, QB2 is more than capable of winning. Therfore, if need be, you can bench QB1 for QB2.

Notice how Dak didn't mention Milton on social media? Usually when a player re-signs or comes to the Cowboys, Dak just reposts the mothership's post; he did not do that with Milton (hehe).
Possibly Dak Prescott has his reasons for being silent. Joe Milton is a lifelong Cowboys fan and six years younger than Prescott.

Cowboys fans have been frustrated for a long time. Perhaps Milton vented on social media at some point. Maybe he once tweeted something along the lines of, "I'm DONE Taking up for Dak. #hadenough"

I can see Prescott not wanting to greet Milton to the team over something like that. Could be for another reason. Who knows?

Bad DE! Bad!

Nothing worse than any so called Cowboys "fan" outright calling for their star QB to suffer a career ending injury. Sick. The absolute worst.
Actually, intentionally misunderstanding something in order to paint the messenger as an evil entity is unhinged, and a sign of sociopathic tendencies, which is in and of itself "sick".

If you can show your work to back up the accusation that I, "outright" or otherwise called for, or even hoped for a career ending injury I will immediately delete my membership here.

Your move.

I'll settle for a simple apology from you. No need to suspend your membership.

Dak probably doesn’t have to worry and that's all because of Jerry Jones. You really think Jerry’s going to bench the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, even if Milton looks better? Not a chance. That would mean admitting he was wrong…..and we all know Jerry’s never doing that.

Do I hope he is concerned about it? Absolutely. I’m not sure if Milton is the guy, but at this point, we already know what we’re getting with Dak. We’ve got nine years of evidence. It’s not suddenly going to change, especially with his age and injury history. So yeah, I’m ready for something different. Anything. At least with an unknown, there’s a little bit of hope.

I think Milton should be looking over his shoulder at Dak, not Dak looking over his. I say that because I would not want to learn anything from Dak, I would not trust him one bit, he knows how to fool the locker room. Plus, he is a liar that does not play the game for money, never has, never will. (yeah, right).

Besides that, Dak has no worries if he gets hurt or not, he has his coin and probably would even accept getting injured so he can concentrate on other things in his life, his proclamations about winning lots of SB's for the Cowboys are over in his mind now. It's just time to check the bank account after every game.

Depends on so much. If Dak playing like he did in 2024 before he ripped the hammy off the bone? Then yes he should stay benched. If he was playing like 2023, then no.

The bigger question might be if Dak plays like crap, but is not injured, will they pull him?

I was excited when Dak took over for broke back Romo. But then Dak quickly became enchanted by Jason Garrett. Always using his phrases and mannerisms. I knew then Dak was a company man. I was out on Dak. Anything Garrett touched is a loser culture.

Cowboy Joe is a welcome teammate. He is a much better athlete than Dak. Dak better not not let Cowboy Joe get on the field. Or its game over for Dak. The organization has paid him enough. He needs to take a graceful exit.

Didn't Dak tweet something like that about Romo once or twice?

Dak has no reason to be concerned otherwise. If anything his contract and Jerry dictates he will be the ststarter.
While l agree with this, in principle, l do think Jerry brought Milton in to light a fire under Daks butt. Jerry's candle is burning out and Dak has been way too comfortable knowing there wasn't a possible replacement on the bench. As long as Milton doesn't have a 5 interception preseason game, l think he'll stay in the back of Daks mind

Dak showed up and proved he was better than old man Romo. Milton has not even does so......yet.

Take it easy, DE. Maybe if Dak gets injured, you might get your wish. Then again, it all depends if Milton proves he is better than Grier. Will Grier is not going to relinquish that backup QB spot without a fight. Good luck.

I do not wish injury on players. You are either projecting or reading into my comments what is obviously not there.

The closest thing you will find that I ever posted here concerning harming players is my once saying I would not piss on Terrell Owens if he were on fire. That said, I did not wish he would instantly combust into flames. Just that I would not help douse them.
