I live in Denver and ever since Dak's impending free agency back in 2021 the local sports scene has actively floated going after him.

He would probably be a marginal upgrade over what Denver has in Russel Wilson at the moment, but probably not worth the draft capital it would cost to go get him.
Do they even have draft capital I thought they traded it all for Russ lol.

Dak in Denver might make them very good fast in that sitch. Does Denver have the premium draft picks?
12th pick so they would likely just draft a guy rather than trade. There are also cap implications of the trade so don’t see it happening. And he has a no trade clause though he could save that. I’d look at all options and not just Dak. But first we need a HC and I’d be working on that already

Dak isn't going anywhere. Dak is a big time money maker for Jerry and the TV networks, if Dak goes to DEN all that money, debate, and ratings goes away.

You really think Dak is the reason the Cowboys get ratings? The Cowboys still got ratings with the likes of Clint Stoerner at QB. If anything a new QB just gives Jerry the opportunity to sell a million new jerseys.

They probably don’t have any picks left to trade us after the Russell debacle.

If Payton didn't like Russell Wilson then he probably won't like Dak. Maybe a reason why he was never interested in coaching here despite all of the connections and his good relationship with Jerry.

While Denver might be a good destination for Dak, Denver has no collateral. They mortgaged the farm for Russel Wilson and little draft leverage.

Take the contract and give me a 2nd and a 3rd and he’s yours. Thats a hefty contract.

Nope.

Dallas is what drives ratings, not Dak Prescott.

Dak is a lighting rod, just like Tony Romo, so whoever is the QB of the Cowboys will get attention. However, finding a QB to be loved and hated like Dak is hard to do. If Lance is the QB and he sucks it won't make the money of a debatable Dak.
