Should ESPN fire Chris Carter?

Those comments about 'putting one in T.O.' is just what ESPN doesn't need IMO. They let Michael Irvin go after getting pulled over for having a pipe in his car (found not to be not his) so lets see what happens?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found that comment to be in poor taste.

Suggesting we should shoot T.O. is immature, unprofessional and uncalled for.

What exactly did he say?
"If it was me, I'd get rid of T.O. T.O. got to go from the beginning. Right from the giddy up. I take one bullet and put it right in him. Bam!"

Thanks for the recap.

Wow. I'm assuming he meant some type of contract negating metaphorical bullet. He's just another example of an athlete that ESPN threw on there that has no idea what he is doing on camera.

This will hopefully give them the ammunition (no pun intended) to get rid of him.

they should be firing him more on the fact that he sucks at his job. all he did was join Keyshawn in the "bash TO every week club"....and it was sickening to listen to those two talk about themselves as though they were the only WRs to ever not be selfish and they knew about being a championship calibur team, blah blah blah.

the only ring b/w them is with the guy who was banned from his team that season when they won.

He really said that? Wow, that's freakin' ridiculous.

Nothing will happen of course, but lord knows if I talked about shooting someone at my job, I probably wouldn't have a job anymore, and I don't host a nationally televised sports show that kids watch.

I remember seeing Carter and Moss on the sidelines giving Culpepper a hard time. Carter was doing most of the ranting. He's a diva. He shouldn't be talking. All he does is "run his big mouth".

If he said that, yes, he needs to go.

There is no place for that kind of behavior or talk in a football studio. He should get fired. He should be apologizing fast.

Chris Carter is ********... Never won anything his entire career, so what he has to say is totally irrelevant.

I wrote espn though it won't be read, I despise that dude and I'm not even a fan of T.O.. lol I would love it if they sent him packing, but they will probably give him a special jacket for the ratings boost.

Huh?? Thats bull crap, and Irvin didn't go because of that. If he was, he would never be on ESPN. Joe Theismann was let go and you don't ever see him on ESPN.

Irvin has been Mike and Mike few times, Colin Cowherd and even on ESPN News etc, on interviews.

He always said he left on good terms and has relationships with ESPN management and others. HE said, ESPN wanted him to stick with only NFL crew, while Irvin wanted to do Radio and TV gig, and other stuff ( he is doing that now, i.e. he has been in few TV shows or at least shot for few episodes on some TV shows I believe).

Fired? For that? No.

Stupid comment, yes.

Termination worthy, no.

Would anyone even care if it was said about some other team's player?
