This Linehan issue has gone as far as it should go.

I suggest Garrett take back the game day playcalling.

As in the acquisition of Cooper supposedly to give DAK his #1 WR and allow analysis of DAK..

We should analyze Linehan as his coaching is in question and we need a comparison.

Doing this should help us as Garrett has not called plays in years and the DCs will not have predictability to use against us.

We need to do something before it all crashes.

Any other thoughts on what to do about the playcalling?

As has been pointed out several times, Linehan uses Garrett's playbook!!! I guess you have to ask yourself....do you want to keep the same playbook, but give play calling duties to someone else? Or do you completely burn Garrett's playbook and start fresh with something new??

Having Jason Carrot call the plays is like rotating the tires on your car. Sure you have different tires on the front now, but it's the same type of tires that were on the back.

Yes fire Linehan and let Garrett try to coach and play call his way to keeping his job or losing it.

Smoke would start coming out of his robot joints

If I was Garrett I would, If I go down in flames I want to control my own destiny.

Absolutely not.

As bad as Linehan is he's still better then Garrett.

The reality is, no one outside the team itself — including any of us posting here — really knows for certain exactly how the Cowboys’ play-calling duties and responsibilities are delegated. For all we know, on game-day, Garrett could have been calling many of the plays all along, since in fact he is the head coach.

Something to consider...

As long as those outside the team believe Scott Linehan is most responsible for the game-plan and play-calling, it will be a much easier sell to scapegoat and fire him, while keeping Jason Garrett, should failure of the offense be deemed the major cause of another failed postseason.

Interesting theory, I would support this. Can't really get worse than the past few games.
