Should Goodell deem troubled players ineligible for draft and UDFA

Since he is making a big deal about cleaning up the league's image and suspending troubled players in the league, I wonder if this should extend to players who apply to enter the draft with checkered pasts? Once they have shown they have attempted to clean up their conduct they could then be eligible for the draft/UDFA.

Yeah right. You have any idea how many lawsuits would fly if that were the case?

what about players who are falsely accused and convicted...then they would suffer from this rule.

There certainly would be some controversy and they would have to establish some guidelines.

There are rules of conduct for other professions: laywers, doctors, air traffic control, etc. While there is certainly more responsibility associated with these professions, my point is that it is done elsewhere.

I jsut bring it up because it looks like alot of teams were passing on Bowman and Blake and the word is that teams will be held responsible in some way for bringing troubled players into the league.
