Should I get a Wii U?

I play PS3 and Xbox360 but kinda ignored the Wii. More for casual gamers and gimmicky. Now the Wii U seems to be for more hardcore gamers and will get ports of most games. Any reason to consider getting it?

Well, it is technologically superior to the XBox/PS3s, having more advanced electronics, so that's a plus. Can't say much more, as I don't play console stuff.

I'm hoping someone hacks up some music applications for it. Then I might consider it.

As far as the current gen of consoles, I had a 360 first and only recently aquired a Wii and PS3. I'm happy with all 3 and will most certainly be getting a Wii-U.

I know the controller on that thing is the selling point, but it just looks clunky. I wonder how it'll be in practice.

Pre-ordered one. Seems pretty cool. I rarely play video games anymore unless it is holiday season with family in town.
