Should I get an MBA?

If your company will pay for it or you can get it on-line and it won't cost you an arm and a leg, of course you should get it.

An advanced degree never hurt anyone in the job market.

There are tons of MBA programs where you should still be able to work and go to school. Graduate school in general has made it alot easier for returning students.

I can't think of any reason why a person would leave a job to go to school....

Generally that is true.

The story is totally different when you step up to the top tier programs....and the average salary for graduates in the top full time programs is FAR higher when you are changing companies.

If you plan on staying with your same company and there is a feel that a part-time program is very acceptable there, then it's very worth it to not leave the job (as that is income lost and they may even pay for the tuition). I guess you can run the numbers and figure it out easy enough.
