Ok, we as fans dont know what really that Jimmy Johnson or Dan Reeves said to the Cowboys. We do know that Jimmy talked to Jason Garrett, Jerry Jones and Wade.

If Jimmy did give some pointers or Dan Reeves, should Jerry Jones bring those guys back for pointers, advice or tips?

Yes.

Because the thing holding this team back is the lack of talking to Jimmy Johnson.

Joe.

Jimmy Johnson was at the ranch because he was being paid by crown royal and he was in town making the rounds with the local and national media.

Reeves was at practice because broadcasters get to go to the home teams facility and talk to players and watch film or whatever they need to prepare for their broadcast.

Those guys were not here helping the coaching staff, giving tips or anything involving x's and o's.

it was strictly a function of their job.

this week aikman and buck will be in ny on thursday, friday saturday...etc.....they will be doing what reeves did here last week. Do you think aikman is helping kevin gilbride?

there is zero corelation between reeves and johnson being here last week and us winning the game.

No. Jerry should let his paid coaches do their jobs. If they can't do it, then fire them after the season is over.

I wouldn't hire an electrician to do a job for me then have a buddy of mine who's a former electrician come over and over see the other guys work. Well, unless of course I hired a poor electrician, lol.

In answer to Aikman, remember this? In one game last year, Aikman asked one of our offensive coaches what he planned to do. The offensive coach told him, best I remember was WR coach. Anyway, then Aikman interviewed Zorn, Commanders coach. Aikman said he then asked what Zorn was going to do if Dallas did this or this. Then, Zorn was ready for some things we did on offense. Aikman even said that he shouldnt have after talking to the Cowboys that he shouldnt have asked Zorn what he planned to do if Dallas did this or that?

Now, what do you have to say theebs?

And Jimmy did say that he talked with Garrett, Wade and Jerry Jones, that part was on some vids and on dfw sports beat.

Joe, the coaches in the national football league do not need commentators explaining their jobs to them. They just do not. They have access to all the film they want and can call up any scenario, situation or formation at any time.

This is their life.

its nonsense. You know this as well as the rest of us.

Well, I still think that some things were said, because if you stop and think about it, the offense playcalling was changed and in a big way. Someone to me had to say something to get Jason Garrett's attention.

I look at it this way, if you look at the offensive genius head coach of Denver, who is doing a very good job in Denver his first year. He is constantly improving the offense, changing plays, styles etc.

While Jason Garrett has been an offensive coordinator since when? 2007! So, to me, in reality, Garrett's offense should be vastly improved, but we haven't seen that in most ball games have we?

So, if you look at the last 2 games before the raiders game, the offense stunk the place up. Not over 14 points in those 2 games. But in the raider game over 20 points, why?

You can't tell me that Jason Garrett finally grew up as an offensive coordinator.

To me, he had some help from somewhere.

I understand what your trying to say theebs, but to me, something changed. Why and how?

That's the point I am trying to make, in some way the offense vastly improved, changed their attacking style, even using miles autin in the slot, having jason witten involved more in deep seams, etc, improved offensive play from the wildcat formation.

He had a lot of help. The players actually executed the plays.

That's probably me to a degree. It's just what I think though, won't be the first time I am right or wrong, and won't be the last.

Well, if you want to look at McDaniels; he's only been a H.C. for less than 1 season.

Garrett did the same thing in his first 11 games as OC.

Then Garrett "fell off." How do you know McDaniels won't do the same when he gets "figured out?"

Yeah, leading the division really does suck. I so long for the halcyon days of 5-11 and no hope at all.

Yeah, 8-3 and leading the division makes me real sad.

I should go run into oncoming traffic.

Don't feed the trolls, Joe. And no this isn't a "Conspiracy Theory". Reeves and Johnson weren't the only oldie goldies in the building last week. And I suspect they paid their respects to the players and coaches and likely owner. And vice versa. They are 'family'.

Garrett pounded the rock more because likely 1) he knows he should 2) the HC told him too most likely 3) the owner told him, too 4) the number one reason is we were successful at it when he tried to run a balanced offense.

If you really want to get Garretts' attention then write him a letter. Maybe he'll read it.

I wish you would learn the game. At the very least learn how many games there are and how to read a standings. This is just plain garbage.

Well, I havent said i am sad, what i am saying, dont let up on the players during the week, or let them get content. If you remember, thats what we did in 2007 and you saw the results. Remember, wade said everything is fine in december, dont worrry, then last year, he said the same thing midseason, everything is ok, dont worry. Then at the end of the year, he said changes have to start and it starts with me.

Granted throw the players a bone or two when they deserve it, but like Jerry Jones said to the players, dont get full of yourselves.

It's still one game at a time, and you havent accomplished anything yet.

Remember heading into the Pittsburgh game, we were sitting pretty then too, and you saw what happened after we lost to pittsbugh and then the ravens. All we had to do was win the pittsburgh game or the ravens game and we might have been in the playoffs, but oh no, everything was fine, dont worry. You saw the results last year and in 2007 being content.
