Just an FYI... nobody in his mentions liked the idea. lol

Not sure about a lottery, but a different system for sure.

The English Premier League is fond of saying, "We don't reward failure with draft picks. Relegation is their fate."

I'm not suggesting we kick the bottom three teams out of the NFL like they do in the EPL (which is awesome drama on the bottom end of their standings), but I don't like how we hand terrible franchises the top draft prize for their ineptitude.

why not it helped build the 90's Cowboys. lol

It would create another huge event for the NFL. I don't want it, but it could be another source of revenue for the NFL.

Only, and not before, we eventually go to an all Flag Football NFL.

The Draft is not really all that big a deal for the NBA. I am not really sure that it would create a lot more revenue for the NFL. Hard to say.

Lol what is it like only 2% of everyone drafted in the NBA Draft has a successful career? Where is the Cavs #1 pick last year? Horrid!

Then how are they supposed to get better to compete. Are you saying give the SB winner better picks as their reward.
Soon you will have a league of 2 teams.

Cleveland drafts top five every year, and it doesn't help them.

The nice part of this is, it doesn't take top five picks to build a contender like it does in the NBA. I just want every team playing all out every game to the final whistle, and this system doesn't encourage that.

I don't think that's a good idea for NFL. first of all, unlike NBA, the NFL picks are no garuantee to work out. its hard to predict. just take a look at the last 10 years of top 5 picks. and i.e. eventhough Indy had a chance to suck and ensure the first pick in the draft, they went on to win 2 out of their last three games....although they ended up with the first pick and chose luck, if not for other teams losses, they might have had the 2nd pick.

I am not a big fan of the NBA version of the lottery...I am a Sixer fan (feel bad for me)...if there was no lottery, they would get the #2 and #9 pick (I believe)...but, 3 teams could potentially jump ahead of them this year and they could get the #5 pick....of course, there is a possibility that either of their top 10 picks could jump into #1 as well...BUT, if the #9 pick that they have (from a trade) turns out to be a top 3 pick, they don't get it...poor system for the worst teams, great system for all the others
