they do have an excellent defense and we still did hang with them.

Steelers could do nothing against them. What a game, and glad to see Pittsburgh go down. They must not have paid the refs enough.

Why???

Because the Jags beat the mistake-SB-Champions? Come on... we had a better offense last year than the Steelers had last year or this year.... NOW this year we have a MUCH better offense than the Steelers...

I do not feel any better about losing to Jags... while I am over it.... them beating the Steelers does nothing to make me feel better about losing to them... neither does the fact that the Jags were 12-4 last year... we could have very easily been 12-4 too....

Jag game was winnable... we didnt get it done... ask the cowboys players if they felt they shoud have come away with a win....

We shoulda won the game, but we didn't. We all know the reasons why, and a few of them even transpired in last night's game (boneheaded penalties). Of course, Bledsoe's performance last night, along with the O-line and JJ was much better.

I don't feel better about losing to the Jags either, but perhaps that are a good team that deserves their props.

I don't feel better that we lost, but I feel better about what our Offense can do if we bring it.

I LOVE how the Jags were still blitzing on that last Stealer drive rather than playing that stupid "prevent" defense. Del Rio is a players coach.

The consolation I came away with was that our O-Line didn't do so badly last week after all. The announcers were gushing over the Stealers' O-Line, saying it was the best in the NFL. Yeah, well they got manhandled tonight.

Yeah, as I was watching the game I couldnt help but think how we let that one slip away. As much pressure as the Jags defense produces (and they are really good) we lost specifically b/c of Bledsoe having a horrible passing day. I feel like we could beat them if we had a rematch, say in the SB?

But the bottom line is we lost to the Jags. They flat out beat us and there are no excuses from our guys for it. Only hope that we continue to improve as the season goes on. The Washington game was a really good start though.

You can't win them all, and if you watched the Jags - Steelers game, it was a hard fought game, and Jags just played hard as a team.

I agree that Steelers isn't as good as advertised, but you have to respect what Del Rio has done with the Jags.

We lost, and that is fine. We were never destined to go 16-0, so for me, there is no difference to me if we lose the first or 8th game as long as we played a good game as a team. Did we? No, not completely but it was something to learn from.

If it didn't matter record wise, I would say I would rather see the Dallas lose a tough but great effort game than win sloppily in a mistake ridden game.

Funny thing is that I though the Tuna was delusional when he said that our O-line did "okay" against the Jags.

Perhaps he isn't crazy after all.

Yeah I agree. And as bad as we played most of that game, and despite the turnovers, we still had a shot at tying the thing up towards the end. Sucks that we lost, but at least we lost to a legit contender and not Washington.

I dont think the steelers are to great to begin with. Their offense sucks the only good thing they have and all credit to them is their Defense.

Dallas talent wise is superior to the Jags and if not for them making stupid plays and penalties Dallas should of won that game.

Seriously any qb in the league with a half decent preformance would of pulled it off against the Jags..To bad for us we had Bledsoe on his worse day:bang2:

No kidding. Another thing I noticed, everytime Pittsburg sent a blitz, Jax picked it up perfectly. I thought we just couldnt get pressure, but it could just be that Jax has a great O-line. Especially after we owned the Skins O-line last night.

I am well past that game.
Its just that if we can win/close the deal - I would like us to do it.

We used to be that way... no reason why we cant get back... no reason why we shouldnt expect to get back to being that way...

He was right - and for the ones who recorded and studied the game, well lets just say I came away thinking we did pretty good (considering) . We had time to throw the ball unlike Aaron Brooks playing against San Diego.

Good point. I noticed that also. Pitt had a field day with Miami, but it wasn't so easy against Jax's o-line.

I am not ready to proclaim any team as Super Bowl bound, but the Jags have made their case thus far in the first 2 weeks.

I was just thinking, we have a tough opening schedule, but Jacksonville got us, Pittsburg, and Indianapolis all in a row! Now thats a tough start! The thing is, if Jax beats Indianapolis, they start 3-0 and have every reason to have sky high confidence.

If they get rolling like that, we could very well see Jax representing the AFC in the SB.

Cool... so we win the one that really counts in the rematch ;)

Winning #6 would be sweet. I just want us to do it first, before Pitt and SF. Though I admit that SF is no immediate threat.
