Should our former players offer their opinions to the current Cowboys?

Is it more harmful or helpful. This generation of athletes you can't talk to them in the way the vets were brought up. You have to say things a certain way in a certain tone to get their attention. With that said, should they continue to say how they feel, or should they back off like some of these current players would like? Please give your thoughts.

yes they should. The truth is the truth and these weak-willed players these days need to prove the former plays wrong rather than whining about being criticized,

I hear you and agree, my question is what do these current players owe them

It is neither harmful nor helpful. The FO operates in a vacuum and doest give a rip about anything outside the Deathstar.

As for the new breed of athletes, one need look no farther than the way the kiddies went crying to the media and Ron Rivera when mean old Eric Bienemy actually insisted that they be responsible for their actions.

Today's "players coach" needs to merely pronounce the names exactly correctly, don't raise their voices, and keep practice time to a minimum so the lads can get enough video game time at home

lol. Multiple choice. Three options. Only two correct choices. Players should listen to:

a) Ex-players who experienced championships and/or relatively significant postseason success
b) Former players, who can adequately assess similarities and/or differences between their current work environment and previous Cowboys environment
c) Jerry Jones' opinion

Two choices are helpful. One is not. The hard part is not spending a night at a Holiday Inn Express.

I mean McFraud says Troy's opinion ain't valid cuz McFraud sees everything every day in practice from the receivers.

The very first thing I thought of when he said this was Rodgers saying that McFraud aint the brightest light bulb to begin with.
So what he thinks he sees from a coach's perspective and what the QB sees may be 2 entirely different things.
Unfortunately.

I mean the playcaller and QB are supposed to be an extension of one another. Supposed to be.
You can't have one without the other.

So we might as well take it to that very next level...
Is it the play called?
Or execution of said play?

Aren't we already there?
Scapegoats 'R US.

Starring former winners Linehan, Garrett and Moore and now make way for McCarthy, LOL

NEXT!

I don’t think it matters.

For certain players like Aikman, Marcus Spears, etc. it’s literally their job to call it as they see it and evaluate the cowboys.

The media is littered with former players who give their opinions on all teams, including ones they played for.

They literally talk about the Cowboys more than any other team.

You can tell by its fruits. Jerry is running a business not a football. Business is good but the team suffers, he doesn't give a rat zza...dude just tries to sell it like he does.

Not a matter of harmful or helpful. It's free speech.

If the current players can't handle criticism from former players, they have no business being in professional sports.

I’m just here for the Jerry bashing ! Former players are complicit IMO if they allowed the circus to affect their preparation

This is an old-school simple programming answer.
Is Jerry Jones the owner?
1. Yes
2. No.
If 1 is "yes" then goto 3.
3. "Flawed foundation. You are doomed. Nothing else matters."
