Should Romo be Traded?

i dont think witten will play that long, maybe 3 more years for witten

remember romo said he retires when witten retires

Yeah but I don't actually believe that. I think that's just Romo trying to tell the world just how important a piece that Witten is to the offense.

But I don't believe for one second that Romo will actually retire just because Witten does.

I think many of the people considering the trade are conveniently forgetting the Testeverde/Carter/Hutchinson/Bledsoe/Henson/Leaf/Stoerner/etc years.

if you can get Luck, or the big QB kid from Arkansas, i think your set longterm at QB, mock drafts i have seen for Arkansas QB, he should go around 18th to 25th somewhere there, from what ive seen

i do, witten and romo are buddy buddy, and do you honestly think romo believes in Bennett?

I dont think so, look at this game how Bennett played against Jags, awful

OMG. The number of BUSTS at QB drafted in the first 3 rounds is sickeningly high too.

This is why the same old vets are gone to again and again by various teams. NFL Quarterbacks are hard to find. Good ones very hard. Franchise ones, are RARE.

Only in a complete rebuild do I trade Romo, but then I would probably draft OLine withthe picks before I went and got a young QB anyway.

With a good oline you can help your QB AND HAVE A RUNNING GAME that scares somebody.

If dallas had the first overall pick in next years draft to select Andrew Luck, I'd trade the over-rated NON leader Tony Romo in a second
I seriously question if people who type this out are trolling or if they don't watch cowboys football games.

Ryan Mallett has bust written all over him. Elite arm. Elite Size. Questionable decisions. Take away his #1 option and he forces throws or checks down to the safety throw. NFL coordinators will eat him alive.

Andrew Luck is the real deal. Luck reminds me a lot of a better Matt Ryan.

Those guys could easily be the next Ryan Leaf and Jeff George.

Niether one of them are a Troy Aikman or John Elway alibar prospect, and niether is remotely close either.

Romo can take a team with decent blocking to a SB. It will take Jerry anywhere from 3-5 yrs to develop a decent line here, if he even realizes that the OL is a problem. If we can get a first and Jerry can afford it, I would say "pull the trigger" and give Romo a chance to show how good he is. If he stays here, he will just be another Danny White.
Shoot you might as well get 2 first rounds+ for Ware too, because he deserves a chance to show his stuff too. Just don't trade him to a NFC team.

but jerry jones has got to wake up and realize his way of running things has netted him basicaly no championships since 95,
If our sorry performance didn't get his attention today, I'm not sure anything will.

Sorry man I just don't see it. You're basing this entirely off him making the comment when talking about how important Jason Witten is to this team.

I just don't actually see him doing it.

Don't flame but really if you were offered a First rounder for Romo would you take it

If Romo gets traded to a team like Arizona, San Fran, or Seattle he will win a Superbowl. And I will be happy for him...

If Phillip Rivers or Eli Manning were a cowboy for the last 3 years we would have WON a SUPERBOWL.

Rivers can 't even win one on his own team, and Manning would be dead in two weeks behind our line.

This thread is hilarious.

Perhaps some of you have forgotten what it was like before Romo arrived. Let me remind you: Carter, Hutchinson, Testaverde, Henson, Bledsoe.

And now you want to go BACK to that?

What team is going to deal for Romo's huge contract? You'd be lucky to get a 2nd round pick. Some of you need to stop playing Madden.

Anybody recall how many crappy QB's we have been through since Aikman?
YOU DON"T GET RID OF A QB LIKE ROMO!!!!!!
